Sorry 'bout the glitch... still learning how to use my new "smart" phone. Sometimes it seems like it's smarter than me...

How many times have the plants forked Chuck? I usually prune the blossoms at the first and second fork to let the plant grow a bigger root ball and leaf canopy to support pod production. Then I stand back and let nature take its course. I might make an exception with the Scotch Bonnets if they look strong enough since they have such a low growing habit. Good luck! I don't know what to do. I don't know if I should pluck flowers or let them take its course in the hoophouse. I know my season is extended with the house. Usually the just flower, drop, flower, drop. Never had to think about it. I have plants already flowering and are only 8in tall.
Cheers Paul! Things are looking better this week. [emoji4]PaulG said:Great to catch up with your grow, Rick. Looking very healthy and robust.
I hope the nasty weather has missed you since the last little brush.
Thank goodness for row covers/hoop houses!
A couple have forked once, most have not forked at all.stickman said:How many times have the plants forked Chuck? Cheers Paul. It's been the usual thing... Weather Central is being run by someone with both hands in casts... They make a small error at the controls and overcompensate wildly due to their poor motor control. Either that or as Robin Williams said, "It's weather by Sibyl." Just gotta roll with it either way. <shrug>PaulG said:Glad to hear, brother, The TV weather made it look
like rugged going back there for a minute. We're started
a long dry spell on May 18 - should last for the next ten
days for all practical purposes. Irrigating time!
Great hardening off weather right now. cloudy or overcast
with periods of sun and temps in on the low 70˚ range up
to 80's by tomorrow. A few (4) clear days sprinkled in here
and there. Things are finally drying out a little.
They're the 7 gallon pots Ben. The air-potUSA site wants to sell them in packs of 5 for around $100 plus shipping so around $20 apiece seems right.bpiela said:Rick, are those the 5 gallon air pots? Are they like $20 a pop on Amazon?
I sure hope so Frank... Thanks for the good vibe. [emoji41]moruga welder said:Great Pods of Fire ! WOOHOO ! Great to see Rick , gonna be a spectacular grow season !
Cheers Scott! It's early days yet but things are starting to come together. [emoji106]Devv said:Good to see the pods on those gals, AND that they're outside!
The weather is looking good and you're ready to rock! Good luck this year, I know you'll bring it home
Heh, I hear ya bro'... We had a bit of a "roller-coaster" start this season didn't we? Still, no permanent damage and now that the veggie garden is all seeded and transplanted it's time for a short break with a cold one... A mint julep in this case.
