Many thanks effendi. 'Tis good to have returned. I have no excuse for my
prolonged absence save for drunkennness and taking care of everything
around the house while the wife completes her schooling and working 50+
hours a week. She is one semester away from being a licensed veterinarian
technician in exotic medicine. I also work 45+ hours a week and do all the
cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc. Plus we do wildlife rescue. I'm 41 and she's
37 and we're both tired of the status quo so we're both taking turns returning
to school and hoping to step our lives up a notch and blah blah blah...

Sorrry, I'm drunk and rambling.

Tonight's drunken cheffery was so easy that even a drunkard could do it:

I eat both breakfast and lunch at work so I usually cook both at home.
My fellow workers are alwasy amazed that I can eat spicy food first
thing in the morning. This is breakfast and lunch for tomorrow. Giood
thing the computer underlines my misspelled words with a red squiggly
line or I woiuld have a bunch more thant his..

How is the Tikka Masala in the jar ? I'm going to look for it at my grocers next time Im there - looks good :drooling: Turkey and ginger tis' the season - I'm lovin' the Polish 15's this month so far

And with that classic THP line the Drunken Chef went quiet for a week...

Now, how the hell do I follow that? Well, I guess I will just post and see what happens. A couple things I made this week,

First some Asian beef ribs. Kind of a spicy teriyaki with a chile rub.

Next was some tenderloin tips. I wish I had taken more pics as this was one of the best versions of this I have made.

This was beef tenderloin cubed up and seared over high heat with a little olive oil sea salt, black pepper, and chile powder. I took them out and then sweated some small dice onion, jalapeno, and garlic. Then, added mushrooms and some butter, a little red wine, worchestershire, tomato paste, and beef broth. Simmered all that until it became like a gravy and added the meat back in to warm back up. Served over toast points. Yum!

Oh yeah, and had some of this, this week. In fact, I am having some now with white cranberry-peach juice and Seven Up.

OK, [Grant].
You can't post half the entire Denny's menu with one booze pic.

Unless you're drunk.
