I just did veggie and cheese stuffing this time, but anything you might use in a popper is fair game, too. Chunks of chile peppers, chorizo, etc., make good stuffing for zucchini.
Ok, more food pics. Made the chocolate and raspberry sauces last night, but then we all decided between grazing and dinner, we weren't going to fit one more piece of food in our stomachs at the moment. So popped open another bottle of wine and finished making the roasted pears tonight:
Chocolate sauce: dark chocolate, butter, whipping cream, cinnamon, chipotle chile powder, mace, and something else I'm forgetting right now...
Raspberry sauce: Fresh raspberries, lemon juice, sugar (this is early in the process)
Pears peeled, dusted with chipotle chile powder, mace, cinnamon, and brown sugar, then wrapped in bacon and roasted:
Put one on a plate and drizzle it with the chocolate and raspberry sauces:
This is one of those I-just-died-and-went-to-heaven desserts.
Some of you have seen these before, in the TD a year ago, but I think I may make them part of our Christmas tradition. YUM!
