food The Drunken Chef

^^ :D TB, I was actually very surprised to read in the other thread that you don't eat much meat! Surely that can't be true! 
 
Here is round 2. A mid afternoon snack :D This one was only marinated in the Whiskey for a couple of hours. Interestingly, the marinade actually smells pretty crappy and thus I was quite skeptical and I never did anything like this before, but jesus the taste and flavour it imparts on the steak is just fantastic. 
 
 IMO for the best effect and even more tenderness, it needs to be bathed for a good day. All that's left of my haul is some chicken wings, will probably make my special Hell Edition buffalo wings later tonight but the thing is I am just deadset full, plus all the booze, I can only eat and drink so much in one day lol 
 
Now with the lessons learnt from this weekend of bachelorhood, I shall never ever pan fry a steak ever again. It's BBQ or nothing from now on baby

I don't eat it but not because I don't like it.
 
Its easier to control my weight, blood pressure, and cholesterol without eating meat.

A tortizza that's what. 
burrito tortilla, homemade oven roated tomater sauce, mozz cheese, roasted peppers and onions, garlic sausage, goat cheese, baby bella shrooms, fefferoni, and ajvar.  topped with some of JustAGuy's smoked bhut powder.

That was a really hard picture to take without it being blurry I had to take like 5 and way over powdered that tortizza…..

That looks awesome Rawk :drooling: I havent seen tortillaaazzz that large before or you have little T-Tex arms and hands ;) Is there more than one tortillaaaaaa in thar?

That's a money shot right there!
 
But as far as the statement I've copied goes, not necessarily true. Alcohol and lime juice are kind of similar - a few hours is fine, but more than that can actually ruin the meat, especially if that's all you're using. You'll want to experiment to find a happy medium.
 
 
Rawk - no friggin' way I am going to believe you made that while drunk. Look at how nice and evenly sliced everything is, and how perfectly distributed across the pie! Looks like that tasty morsel was dressed by some food artiste, not a drunken sailor. Just sayin'..... ;)

Hahahahaha the roasted peppers and onions are from a trader joe's freezer bag.  But I am an arteest, and I make a damn fine tortizza.

LOL to be fair though those guys are are over 7ft they are dwarfing everyone in the picture - looking quickly they are almost as tall as the tree!

I used approx 1/2 cup Whisky and 1/4 each of Soy, Worcestershire, oil and a fair chunk of brown sugar, so basically only a fraction of the mixture was alchoholic. We're having an Aussie Day BBQ this weekend, will be grilling some Whisky flavoured steaks for my parents, bro and his GF, personally I loved it, keen to see what they think of it :D  
 
So… Friday and into Saturday morning is when this took place… I was super hungover and had to go to an art show so I couldn't post the pics then and out of town until last night…  Here goes...
 
What do you do when you make a big pork roast, and are tired of eating it?  Make Tacos out of it!

After all that we still didn't have enough and went out… my phone was a casualty of war…  It tried to escape while I was at a salsa club and some lady in high heels stomped it good.

I'd liked to say that my night ended there but then I went to another bar and pretended I didn't speak English the rest of the night… When I got home there was a round II of drunken chef… but it is all captured in a 12 min video that, if posted, would probably get me banned from the site…
