food The Hungover Chef

This is a Hungover Breakfast for sure. Greasy azz Breakfast. I forgot to include Dead Soldiers in my pics, but have no fear, I Reported myself.

There is a Fishing resort somewhere in North Michigan that serves this. It's called, "A Mess".

• 2 Baking Potatoes, diced
• 1lb. Jimmy Dean HOT bulk sausage
• 1/2lb Bacon, cut into small pieces.
• 1/2 White Onion
• 4 Big 'ol fresh Jalapeños
• Cheddar Cheese
• Sauer Kraut
• Eggs and Toast

Get the Potatoes fry in in a little oil, Fry Bacon in a separate pan, and mix in with taters.
Fry Sausage in separate pan and mix in with taters.
Dump in Onions and Jap's and cook.
Plate, top with cheese, Sauer Kraut, and Fried eggs.
Strawberry Jam on toast. When done, chug a big 'ol glass of ice cold Milk then lay down on the couch and "watch the game".

I know it's crazy, but It was just weird enough that we had to try it.

We don't make it often but man, it hits the spot.

And if you love Kraut, (specially like CJ does) it rocks.

And make no mistake. 'bout the only thing I DON'T eat eggs with is chicken or turkey.

That's just foul.... I mean wrong.

Well, not hungover, but we did something similar for dinner last night, only no kraut and brats instead of the Jimmy Dean. Oh, and scrambled instead of fried.

Too much fun was had by all last night. Even tho Jay was M.I.A. we had to carry on without him right DP and Sum?

I'd hit that hash like a pinata. Personally I would have gone with straight pickled 'peno's rather than including some fresh ones too. I like the Embasa brand too. I can eat those baby's with the escabeche all day long right out of the can.

Nice pics too Scovie but that thumb needs a 'rang on it. Maybe one with 2 eggs locked in battle with each other or some sheeit like that.

Look at TB gettin' all fashionista up in here. But I agree, two eggs twirled around each other [think ying-yang] on a thumb ring would be money in that shot.

Oh yeah, that's def some good hangover food, Scovie.

I know the streets.

And I have my thumb on the pulse of the fashion world.

Thumb bling.

I make that sheeit look guud!

Thanks folks! The eggs were poached but waaay over done, hard. whatevs... Hungover ;)

Yeah TB I've put the pickled peños in the rizo before, but honestly it gets a little vinegary.
And I am kinda selfish with keeping them whole. We buy two of those cans at a time,
One stays whole for accompaniment for about every meal, and the other goes into the Charlie for a puree,
carrots, onions juice and all. Escabeche? never knew that. cool word!
Fantastic Salsa for everthang!

Ain't a damn 'thang wrong with pickled 'peno's.

Eaten them since I was a kid and they are like grandma's candy.

I hear you about the vinegary taste but I like that flavor a lot.

I dig on those acidic flavors like vinegar and lime juice.

Ohhhhh yeahhhhh! Me too. Seriously like candy. In fact I wouldn't trade one pickled Peño for 5 cases of Oreos.

The chorizo we get is made at Hanks. They get the spice mix from a company in Seattle, and add the rest of the ingredients there at the butchery. It's not spicy hot, but daamm tasty, and a really nice vinegary bite to it. Have you ever tried the puree thing? It's a lot easier to mainline! :)

From this mornin
