Anyone using a baking steel in here?

Oops nevermind, should've searched

That's not a dumb question at all.

Some of these big threads can be overwhelming when looking for a particular 'thang such as that.

Cooking pizza on a plancha for instance would not show up if you searched "baking steel" although they would be the same thing.

CH I am sure your friend likes it however...

Essi.

Don't waste your money.

In America we call that a George Foreman Grill.

Only one that is designed for pizza.

A George Foreman Grill is great!

If you don't know how to cook.

Sure ... I understand.

I have an industrial oven in my kitchen with stone floor, built like those used in restaurants pizza but smaller.
Also I have a convector oven, hot air cooking and fine cuisine pizzas. This type of convector ovens use chains like Pizza-Hut.
Still prefer my industrial oven to make my pizzas. Nor recommend these stoves, but the Ferrari has very good reviews, even by those who know of pizzas.

A few years ago I had a wood fired clay oven with brick floor and are best for cooking pizzas. These ovens provide a flavor that no point of comparison with any other. The downside is you have to heat it with wood and branches for 3 or 4 hours and is too much work for one or two pizzas.
Not use often, will not fall apart and I went back to rebuild.

TB, i know what i am speaking about. :D
That's a specific pizza oven with a baking stone (as other models...).
I've seen on a forum someone that use this and, trust, results are amazing. The best results are achieved with some modding, but i've read that with even a small one you notice the difference. The only drawback is that you cook one pizza a time (i've also doubts about durability of this...).
Wood powered is the best, btw that one is still better than the normal oven i have for pizza.

Sooner or later i'll do. :D
Here it is a section called "our creatures":

Just pic some thread and watch, there's some of the absolute best pizza porn i've ever seen...
(there's quite an amount of subsection for all types of subject, from yeast to oven modding).

Here an example with a modded little oven like one i'm interested in:
http://laconfraternitadellapizza.forumfree.it/?t=68771081
I remember i saw a thread with a pizza before and after modding but i don't find it anymore.

Pizzas with wood powered oven in that forum (forno a legna or fal) are something unreal. By far more glorious that ones of the best pizza makers i've seen...

I've seen a guy (he's also a bro chilehead and habanero lover, so even more respect) achieve outstanding results also with bbq:
http://laconfraternitadellapizza.forumfree.it/?t=68885385
(at the end he said that this was his best dough that deserved wood powered oven...).

At least for Italy i dare say that place is for pizza what THP is for peppers... :P

Here is my friend's pizza in the oven made ferrari.

I'm going over to my parent's tomorrow to make some pies for Father's Day.  The whole family's coming over, so we'll likely be making 4-5 and I'm hoping the steel can be on top of things.

ESS, those are great links!!

It's like THP in Italian! Great pics...I just don't know what in Dante's Inferno they are saying.

But I think I saw the guy who is like their TB. That guy!
