This one is great. If you missed out on sausage, burgers, tacos, pizza, whatever, you could do it. Or you could be totally original and do a non-previous TD entree. Will be interesting to see all the various grilled eats! And chilled drinks!

Dumb question #34,775.

The term "grill" is used loosely worldwide, so would my "flat grill" be eligible for use?

I'd love to get in on this one.

Not a dumb question, IMO. We know the Aussies use "flat grills", from past TD's. I was actually thinking of you and your flat top before you popped in here. It's been a while since you TD'd, so I reckon it's time.

i believe a griddle is a grill, personally ...

by way of plancha ... plow disc ...

i think it's grilling any time it's open air, heat source below ...

The THP grand jury ruling is still yet to come apparently.

I have my little Little Lodge Hibachi but would prefer to use my flat grill.

I really want in on this one.

Personally, a grill has a fire. So if your grill plate has a fire under it, I don't care.  If it's a George Foreman grill, I'm not against it but it probably won't get my vote.

Exactly, let the people vote. Although, at one time I made some pretty kickass grilled bacon wrapped scallops on a George Foreman. I have no say, but I say anyway, if it can remotely be considered bbq/grilling then let it fly! Much better than having three or four entries...

LOL

First of all this TD is all about grillin' and chillin' and is not as serious as some of the other grill or BBQ ones. TB's Blackstar is designed for outdoor cooking, or grilling as some may consider... and that's how he chills! So how could he not enter? TB, wheel that baby out of the garage for some good daylight pics. Or angle the camera just so, so it looks like outdoor cooking lol! Unless you chill better in your gee-rage.

No need for fear mongering. I said sausage would be low from the start, and asked who would enter and those people didn't even enter lol. But making it seem this this one will be low unless I allow frying pans (isn't TB's rig a large frying pan?) is not a genuine assessment. With that said, does your oven have wheels? ;) But seriously, no panini maker "grills" please. Too open, and not for this.

But you can't chill if you're stressed about the grill, so...

Grill Definition: Basically if you cook outdoors and don't deep fry you should be good. Appliances allowed are grills, smokers, and flat grills powered by any source, designed for the outdoors.

You may cook indoors for prep and sides, or cook outdoors with other appliances for prep and sides (deep frying etc.). But the idea is outdoor cooking. So as much as you can.

So many are focusing on the Grill, don't forget the Chill part. The bev could put you over the top. No joke. Seen it before. "I would have voted for that one, but a shot of tequila is not very inventive." etc.

Get ready folks! First Friday of Sept it goes down!!!

Full details in post.
