Cool, I have neither but what if i take a big ziplock and then poke a hole thru the end and put a larger funnel inside?
The issue with that is the diameter - the casings are way too small for a ziplock. If you have a smooth-surfaced turkey baster, however, you might get that to work. Look up the process of stuffing to see what I mean, as to why the diameter matters, if you don't already know.

I think i get what you mean. The turkey baster is a good idea, I actually have a turkey baster. Though the last time I used it was checking and refilling the water in the boat battery, so the acid might not be too safe haha. luckily they're cheap. Thanks for the advice!

I think that you can be used any tube 1" diameter and 4" long, be can work in a ziplock bag...

Be must joining the bag and pipe with a strong tape and would work. Anything cost to you.

The tripe will be slip through tube while filled. In any case would be free

First off, I completely and utterly don't believe that you can't make sausage better'n any commercial version. No sir. No way.

Second, go to Shiner. Bring a cooler and some ice. Find a deli/meat market there, where they make and sell sausage and other assorted stuffs, including pickles. They will not disappoint.
Third, go to Gruene (pronounced like the color.) Take your bride tubing on the river then go to the restaurant that looks much like a log cabin and get yo'sef some steak. Deeeee-lish!

But of course I can make it better than any commercial.

Its what most folks like you and I here on THP do.

We rock shit.

That's what we do.

Shiner.

It's Texas in a bottle but please forgive me....

My all time session beer is alt style.

Be it Alaskan Amber or German Pinkus.

Of course it's not!   The onliest reasons I went there were for the wedding shower for my sister-in-law and then the wedding. It's definitely not "a destination", but a stopover for some good grub if you're in the area. Great neighborly folks there, though. I do believe the entire town attended that wedding and contributed foodstuffs from their farms and gardens for the reception. It was phenomenally impressive.

That aside, I'll be swimming in the 4-day summer nationals that weekend so doubt I'll make an appearance for the TD. But there is still part of me that wants to squeeze something in just for fun. Something tells me that Cincy chili-style sausage could be good….

Love the sausage t-downs...

Not the slightest bit interested in joining in. ;)

I know when I'm beat before I start!

I would love to take a stab at it ... but work is revving back up with a vengeance and I now realize it's not this weekend, but the next ...

Maybe there will be time, though, I'd like to make my 1st sausage ...

CHEERS!

Hot Doug's closed down recently.  Sadly.  Epic palace of encased meats, one of the rare things in Chicago actually worth the wait.  Recently I learned that Wrigley is selling his sausages though, which might make it worth the pain and sorrow of attending a Cubs game.  For the throwdown I'll enjoy watching/learning.  :)

nevermind.

So I'm thinking something Creole.
I would hope. I'd love to see it. I'm not sure if I'm going to be in this one. We have a busy weekend next weekend with my daughters birthday. Plus I'm not feeling very inspired to make a sausage. Very anxious to see what everyone comes up with though.

So Booma and I have been talking and we have decided to add a little spicy incentive for  the next Throwdown.

Pookie is running two polls this time. Being Australian and famous for our 'snags on the barbie' (no Grant, not that barbie) we of course are putting up the prize for 'the best sausage' poll.

So the following is on the table for best sausage TD, a great selection of Byron Bay Chilli Co and The Hippy Seed Company sauces.

Open to all members all countries.

Get grinding!!

BBCC
Heavenly Habanero
Smokin Mango
Cayenne Chilli
Spicy sweet

THSPC
Hydra Venom
Turkey Slap Yellow 7
Naga Sav BBQ
