The issue with that is the diameter - the casings are way too small for a ziplock. If you have a smooth-surfaced turkey baster, however, you might get that to work. Look up the process of stuffing to see what I mean, as to why the diameter matters, if you don't already know.BigB said:Cool, I have neither but what if i take a big ziplock and then poke a hole thru the end and put a larger funnel inside?
I think i get what you mean. The turkey baster is a good idea, I actually have a turkey baster. Though the last time I used it was checking and refilling the water in the boat battery, so the acid might not be too safe haha. luckily they're cheap. Thanks for the advice!geeme said:The issue with that is the diameter - the casings are way too small for a ziplock. If you have a smooth-surfaced turkey baster, however, you might get that to work. First off, I completely and utterly don't believe that you can't make sausage better'n any commercial version. No sir. No way.
Second, go to Shiner. Bring a cooler and some ice. Find a deli/meat market there, where they make and sell sausage and other assorted stuffs, including pickles. They will not disappoint.
Third, go to Gruene (pronounced like the color.) Take your bride tubing on the river then go to the restaurant that looks much like a log cabin and get yo'sef some steak. Deeeee-lish!

Not the slightest bit interested in joining in.
I know when I'm beat before I start!
I would hope. I'd love to see it. I'm not sure if I'm going to be in this one. We have a busy weekend next weekend with my daughters birthday. Plus I'm not feeling very inspired to make a sausage. Very anxious to see what everyone comes up with though.hot stuff said:nevermind.
So I'm thinking something Creole.
Maybe this will inspire you Ozzy!Bumper said:So Booma and I have been talking and we have decided to add a little spicy incentive for the next Throwdown.
