Yup. Some people have those indoor grills, but then opening up to inside cooking opens up another can of worms. Then the CI griddle plate, or even a damn pan comes into question lol.
 
The outdoors is what this one was designed for, grillin' and chillin', getting the last of summer in. :)

So I can't cold smoke my protein in a cardboard box outside, then sous vide inside then heat up a grill to finish off and take pics next to a potted plant? 
 
That sounds like a chilled plan to me...? :D
