Congrats, man! I didn't know that you guys found out if it was going to be a boy or a girl! That's awesome, dude. Really happy for you!

She's gonna be eating like a princess too! Last time we had "blackened" fish at my house was only because I forgot to take the frozen fish sticks out of the toaster oven ;)
Thanks brotha! We are really happy to be having a girl She is eating plenty of peppers in the womb, and I know that she will love spicy food, just as much as my wife and I do.

Smoked PRIME brisket with rocoto Q sauce and spicy chimichurri, from scratch tater salad, from scratch aji limo slaw, and honey baked beans.

I smoked this 15lb. PRIME grade packer brisket for 18 hours at 225 with pecan, hickory, and royal oak for fuel. Salt and pepper only for the rub, of course.

Glorious bark for days!

Boom!!.   This kid gonna be so well fed, she'll be able to walk out when she is born.
For sure! I'm trying to fatten my wife up a bit as well. She didn't gain any weight in the past 3 weeks of pregnancy. The baby is taking all of the nutrients!

It's next to impossible to fatten up a petite Vietnamese woman, BTW. She eats 3-4 times a day, even when not pregnant, and hovers around 90 lbs.

Wow! Just found this. First of, Congrats on the daughter! You seem to be a big fan of aji limos. I just discovered them this season because of trentl's glog. They became a favorite with the first bite. Any chance you would share your recipe for the aji limo garlic aioli? It sounds incredible. I'm trying your carne acavada recipe this weekend and can't wait.

GCM,

I don't know your lot in life, nor suppose that I do. But in a lifetime of dealing with people for a living, I have discovered this: that (usually, not always) anyone who excels extraordinary in hobby, also excels likewise in primary vocation. If you're not a chef by trade, I'm sure you are amongst the best in whatever it is you do. My "two cents" offered for lack of ability to otherwise "hold a candle."

Glad to hear you are digging the recetas! I'm pretty sure I posted a recipe for that aji limo garlic aoli on one of the food threads. I'll track it down and link it here.
