such a heat freak (no offense) like you, why are you growing mellow chiles like jalapenos,tabascos & couple more if they're not really hot ? I figured your list would be stacked with really hot chiles.

I am not a heat freak all the time ...
I love fresh jalapenos and chili's on pasta and also to bbq.
tabasco I want to try as they are what tabasco is made of and that was my first sauce .
the rest I hope will almost kill me.
 
Don't listen to him Shayne, Jalapeño is one of the best peppers out there.
You know, a pepper doesn't have to be seriously hot for you to like it.

There's quite a few more I want to grow too which I'll start in the New Year. When I start them as seedlings I ignore the fact that I might be limited for space (problem with my dog Murphy eating plants) but I won't get rid of any, where there's a will there's a way ;)

Potawie that's a good question because I don't know either. I was given it labelled like that. It had the name 'Bonnet' in it so I thought I'd grow it, just kind of thinking with 'Bonnet' in the description it might be hot.
 
You have to have a balance. I love habaneros, but paprikas are my go to seasoning.

Reason 1: Wife won't let me dig up the back yard for a garden. Back yard is fairly small. Reason 2: I use a lawn service that puts down fertilize and weed killer and I am sure the soil would be poison to the plants. Reason 3: If reason 2 is not valid, see reason 1.:(

By the name of the peppers, I guess you mean 'bentalphanerd' - also known as 'Bent', not 'Brent'. :rolleyes:
