Wild in Las Vegas 2014 (Hardening off and flowers!!)

So now it's time to make another attempt and hope for a better year.

I didn't want to make a glog this year... but I see many already started. That motivates me to make a glog.

2013 was a year for learning and making mistakes and mostly experiments. Needless to say I found and learned a lot and I know this year is gonna rock!

So let's get started with some pics, and I'll update with th list later today and I'll be visiting glogs in a short while ;) and here's to 2014!!!

Thanks for stopping by

women will hunt at home with all these peppers!
:lol::lol::lol:

Lol! :D

Amazing! Love the hairy guys! Also the color on alot of these is great! Going to try to put together and LED panel by your instructions next year.

Thanks Maxi! First time I grow these guys. Pubes just look cool. I just love the fuzz, makes them more unique than other species ;).

i love the fuzzy and purple. Different leaf shapes are cool, some of them just look like regular vines that i rip out of my flower beds.

Yup, purple, green and fuzz.
:)

Most excellent Walt!

Plants and pics!  Great job this season!

Thanks Scott! Everything seems to be on track if not I'm breaking out "Plan B" :D.

Plants look fantastic.  This cross is getting big!

Yes it is Charles, I can't believe this is the only one that came out nice like a chinense. It's in soil now. I gave it mycos and now it looks like it's building a nice root system. I'll wait a few more days to pot it up.

Looks pretty sweet! Can't wait to see what its pods do!

I just feel too excited! This one is getting special treatment LOL.

I agree. Pods should be interesting to say the least. How were the F1 pods?

Yes it should be interesting. I saved a pic a while back I'll try to post it.

Perfect tiny upright Barrackpore shaped pods would be really cool...

How about "Sunrise Barrackpore"? J/K.

That would be something very nice if it does come out that way. Just look at one of Ed Currie creation. The tepin x reaper, I want something like that. Don't we all? :D

-Walt
Ok everyone here's a pic of the Tepin X 7 pot. Charles might have better pics, I saved this one a while back when I first saw it. I just saved it for personal reference and now to show it.

That aside I took a few groups shots of a few. I'm going to select the ones I want and give away the rest to friends or family.

All the pubes, some are getting their second set of leaves while some are barely on their first.

Ok and a few close ups ;).

Mystery pube.

Red Rocoto/Manzano. (Store pods)

Pink tiger.

Bhut Orange Copenhagen.

Lemon drop kicking into action.

I envy you brother! your plants are fantastic ..... my not using artificial lights are slow slow slow. This morning though .... they started putting the first leaves! ♡_____♡

Thanks brother, glad yours are doing well. ;)

Walt, plants look good. Wow, All those monzanos/rocotos. Love it. those dark leaves on the Pink Tiger (don't think I've heard of that one before) look pretty cool.

Thanks Jeff! The rocotos really look nice and all but they're slooooowww...

The Pink tiger is a Bhut x Neyde cross. Makes a pink stripped semi bhut shaped pod hence the name Pink tiger. I have pics of it I can post up. Very famous on Facebook.

Lot of beautiful plants Walter!

Thanks Jason!

Great update! Love the hairy babies.

It's hard to part with the extra plants. Never know what kind of treatment their adoptive parents will give them!

Yes true for the most part. I have a friend that has a darn good green thumb. He can probably take a few. So idk or I can keep them somewhere LOL, but I must not tell the wife. That would be suicide Lmao.

Ok, I'm officially an Aerogarden addict. I now have 4 aerogarden with this one. I have 2 base models, 1 Extra, and now a space saver 6. I like this one because it's a lot easier to clean and you don't have to worry about the pump being clogged by the roots and suits well for my needs even if it's one less hole I love the design :D.

I have a non working one and debating what to do with it. I can't sell it if it's not working so idk. Use it for spare parts I guess.

Here's the aerogarden 6 space saver.

Here I'm disassembling and cleaning up like all the aerogarden I get.

And this is how it looks when set up.

These here are under my Aerogarden Extra.

I need to hurry and make my LED panel bigger so I can fit more plants and use the aerogarden for a few varieties I want to grow fast. Chinense for the most part.

A few more plant pics.

Aribibi gusano.

Texas black.

Finally!!! This one is growing. Seems like it doesn't want to grow straight LOL.

Cobincho

CAP 501, one went suicide and 3 are alive. They're doing ok but 2 of them seem to not want to grow.

Hey man, I am having trouble finding your LED discussion. Is it in Grow Tech? Interested in putting one together next year if it is as cheap as you say.

Happy growing!

Yes it is, It's in there and should be on the first or second page. I recently bumped it, and it's titled "My LED rig" or something like that. If you use the search function type that and you should find it easier.

I see Smokemaster recomending 1W LED for less power consumption, but I haven't tried them yet and he claims they're as bright as 3W and less heat. I'm trying that next after I sell my T5HO. I'm using 3W LEDs and it's 45W since I'm using 15 and not bad considering the amount of plants I can put under it.

If you have any more questions just PM me, I'd be glad to help. I'm mostly active in the afternoon. I work night shift and sleep during the day.

-Walt

Yeah I found it. I'm just dubious that I would even be able to assemble it. Or get all the specs correct... basically don't have any electronics assembly abilities beyond a 3rd grader. Don't want to blow anything up.

Yeah true, the hardest part for me was soldering. I'm no electronic expert but I love those type science or electronic stuff and just like to learn and just jump on it. I feel like a kid in the 6th grade science class lmao.

When I first turned it on was when I stayed home and not go out. I weared sunglasses and inspected all the connections and what not and I went like that for a week. And then I just left it on and worked like a horse since I built it. It's been working for a lil bit over a year now, and NOT A SINGLE FAIL EVER!! Now I want to build version 2.0 lmao I just like being a gadget dude.

The plants are looking fantastic! Another new Aerogarden to boot!

I am adding a link to your LED rig thread HERE for easier reference.

Thanks Shane! I'm becoming KingDenniz LOL! Too many toys, I feel like a child with all them aerogarden :D.
