Dammmnnn your having bad luck Candice, sorry to hear, what variety was it, is there any seeeds I can send you???
I know and it is only the beginning! They were Butch T under the lights, growing really well too. Will post a pic before I rip em. But I have watered the Chocolate Scorpions that you gave me and Morouga Scorpions with water from the same system as well as all the plants I was overwintering including a white 7 Pot, Viper and a few other superhots and all my ornamentals.
I should be right with seeds thanks Grant, you have already been so generous and I have some choc scorpions left from you. I have learnt from past mistakes never to sow every seed of one type you have in case of mishaps. Glad I didnt!
I bought this about a month ago for the first time to pot up my seedlings from Jiffy pellets. Seems good so far but they are plants with the bacterial rot so will have to throw them out too. As Micca said I would actually use perlite to airate the mix. If you are using the soil for seeds probably best just to buy a good seedling mix instead. It will probably have more sand and bigger particles to loosen it up.Cheers Nova ... its just a premix from bunnings Amgrow organic potting mix.
See it here
It already has Coir in it but it seems to get too compacted much when wet for my liking, I want something to create a little more aeration and bulk.
I don't know maybe I should just use it as is??? Coir seems like a cheap filler for my pots though.
Nice looking plant happening there Gas
When I use Organic mixes for growing in containers I tend to find it does get too wet and doen't drain too well. So I add in some Perlite or Perlite/Vermiculite mix to add aeration and to help with drainage.
Works for me.
Micca
Hey Micca you can get 100L bags of Vermiculite or Perlite from the Agrishop in Forrestdale for about $26. Most hydro shops sell these for $45 a bag!
