Vey nice work there Megamoo!
They are lookig great and like everyone has said just make sure you keep the light on them now.
Hey how did you put the name labels on the piccy? Not very good with computer office/editing sort of stuff but would like to be able to label my piccies like that!

Micca

I used Paint. It's a very basic program that comes with windows. I only use Photoshop for putting heads on naked bodies and whatnot.

I just looked through my seeds and wrote up a list of what I wanted to grow at home (not including the few thousand I will have growing at the farm for fruit or what i will have for plant sales). I came up with 60 varieties that I want to grow plus 14 ornamental varieties I want to grow. So I would probably plant about 10 seeds of each which would work out to 740 seeds. I was really trying to keep it down this season as I wanted to make it easy on myself but I really don't know where to start culling.
Definately will be growing a heap of Superhots, so maybe I will start off with them and then keep going through the list until I run out of time or room?
It is just so hard to say no to different chillies and I always end up growing more than I can handle! Damn this chilli obsession...

They look nice Megamoo! Very healthy. I'm based in Melbourne and getting the following seeds underway now =)

Trinidad Scorpion,
Naga Morich,
Aji Amarillo,
Bih Jolokia,
Thai Chilli,
Aji Lemon,
Red Cayenne,
Jalapeno,
Chocolate Habanero,
Black Peal,
Orange Habanero,
Fatali,
African Birdseye,
Manzano Rocotto,

Also got a nice Naga Morich from last season which I'm overwintering in the ground with some protection. Its doing well.

Cheers

I know what ya mean Wildfire, I wanted to plant more, but got it down to the list in my last post! Love growing chillies, only my second year! =)

I was really trying to keep it down this season...
Join the club. ;) (although I don't have plans to grow 100,000 plants like you.... :P)

Every year I say to myself that I'm going to grow less different varieties and only a comfortable amount so I can concentrate more on certain varieties.... but as usual, my list just keeps growing!

I know its hard!
 Note quite 100,000 but it feels like that sometimes!
After spending about 3 hours a day last summer trying to water and do everything else with my plants I really dont want to get stuck doing that again this year.
I think I will have to look over my list again..

Cheers Megamoo. I'll have a look and give it a try.

Hey Candice, as you know there's always 1 more you have to try :) I can see my limit getting out of control too this season!
All worth it at harvest time wooohooo!!!

I'm glad I don't have a collecting Elephants obsession or something, now that could get messy

Welcome to the forums too Mitch.

Micca

Welcome to the forums too Mitch.

i know thats the problem! Come harvest time I can't even collect them all, most of the time they just sit on the plant till they fall off and rot on the ground!

Ha ha that made me laugh, yes elephant collecting would be very hard.

Heres a little Scorpion project I have going. Going to plant 9 scorps in the ground. Stakes nead a little straightening up =|.... Hopefully get enough seeds from these and analyse how they grow. Got raised beds with horse manure, soil, compost, worm castings and might put in some drip irrigation as I have 2 x 13000 litre tanks nearby which are full =) I have a few acres near Stawell, thinking about putting in a few thousand scorps there next year if this is a success. It probably sounds ambitious, but I could make some hot sauces with allot of scorps in supply =)

How do I upload images?

Good luck, sounds great. Make sure you don't plant any of your other plants nearby so that they dont cross pollinate.

There are some instructions in the help and support section of this forum that will tell you how to upload.

Well here is what you do....... You round up all the kids that you can find/steal, give them a dollar or 2 each and then have them Harvesting for you
Say 20 kids Harvesting at 40 Buckaroonies equals Sweet deal!!! Oh and they will only steal or eat any once too!

Micca

ahhhh figured it out, cheers mate! =)

I will try to avoid cross pollination by keeping them at a distance and use the teabag method that people talk about. Hoping they had buds early, that will make it easier =)

Most are isolated except for some that are trades, so if worst came to worst and I couldn't decide I guess I would cut out some of the non isolated varieties.

Of course if there are any other superhots that I'm missing that you think I might like I could always get rid of some "normal" chillies in place of them :)

Tried that with nephews and my son last year. After showing them how to do it and which ones to pick (took about 5mins) they only spent another 5mins picking and then got bored!
