I would just buy an aquarium heater and use it in a carboy or similar for seedlings. They are cheap to buy and mine is only 50 watts so doesn't chew that much juice. It's good for about 120 litres i think so a carboy/20 litre container would be no worries to keep warm. have the added benefit of being able to adjust the temps too.

Just found this thread. I was going to say that I had sparked off something but it seems everyone planted their seeds weeks ago !
Anyway.... I'm so in.
Planted 3 jalapeno seeds because I have little space and they might not survive anyway but as of yesterday
Finished my greenhouse too so I'll have somewhere to house the maturing plant.

I think the coir i used to start some Rocoto seeds is holding too much moisture, other seeds i started in a coir x seed raising mix are doing much better so i will be using that from now on. Also found my 600 watt reflector hood and ballast for my hps, setting that up in a grow cupboard. Just have to buy a new globe for the sucker.

Been taking advantage of the few days of sun we've had here in Brissy before the forecast of another week of rain....
CGN 22794 finally popped but have pretty much given up hope now on Pimenta Da Neyde, NuMex Twilight and Omnicolor.... it's been like a month or something now! I have only been sowing two seeds per pellet though.
And Aji Amarillo is due for ANOTHER pot-up already!

Looking good there. If you have no luck with the NuMex Twilight and Omnicolour let me know and I will see if I have any spare. I know I only have a small amount but not sure how many (will have to sort through all the packets I have everywhere!). I will be using some as I have decided to do an ornamental garden bed this year in the front driveway. I'm thinking of possibly just scattering a bunch of the seeds straight into the soil and seeing what happens. If I'm really bored I may plan it better and direct transplant seedlings.
