Putting the germ box on top of the dryer always works for me too, they sprout in days, the ones I planted outdoors took weeks.

Out of three Jalapeno seeds sown I now have two seedlings. (and the third seed looked a little deformed so I didn't think it would sprout anyway)
I have just doubled my 2011/2012 season germination rate to 66%

Also just installed a tiny little shelf, and light globe in my computer cabinet thing. There is no room in there and will only be able to germinate maybe six at a time but the temp stays at a constant 27-30C. So if I time it right I can have a steady stream of plants.

I might even get a dedicated growing globe rather than the standard 11w = 60w one. Will start some chinenses next.

I nearly fried my Rocoto seedling by having it too close to a fluro. Lucky i checked it after work, hopefully it makes a full recovery! I think that the coir that i was using got tyoo wet for the other five seeds but i will leave them another week or so before i recycle the coir.

Very impressive HOT list happening there Grant
Will be keeping an eye on those TS and 7-Pod variations, they sound interesting.

Looks like you are in for a Scorchin Summer!!!

Ok I snuck in a couple of extra little goodies, I hope they sprout.

The Pimenta de Neyde I sowed over a month ago now has still yet to pop. :(

Just whacked some more seeds in to soak though (which I will sow tomorrow) and we'll see what happens this time. Plus a few other bits and pieces: C. rhomboideum, C. galapagoense, C. chacoense (unknown), Cumari pollux (C. praetermissum), Cumari do Para (C. chinense), Texas Chiltepin, Cheiro White, Wasp Not Yellow, and some "original" Wasp seeds.

Aaaand on another note: round two is starting to pop! :D

Pretty sure I will be requiring a second (or even third) grow light this season.....

Cant wait for the cumari gas. Sound like heaven.

Nicely done by the way.
I actually haven't heard much about them - are they supposed to be good, are they? :D

I take it that this is your first time growing them too?

And forgot to add a thanks before to Dan (RedtailForester) for them and also C. galapagoense, Texas Chiltepin, and C. chacoense (unknown).

Finally got around to deseeding some of them mystery pods too the other night. Will have 'em on their way in a couple days.

Here are the seedlings that were grown in jiffy pellets. The ones with rocks I took the netting off and the other two I left on, just to see how it goes. These have been outside for about 4 or 5 days. I keep meaning to bring them in at night because it is getting cold but keep forgetting.

Adam ended up putting this extra pipe on so I can attach a hose to empty the reservoir as I can't lift it. The PH and EC have been going up heaps every day so I am having to check it everyday and adjust. Just bought a thermometer for the tank and thinking I will find my aquarium heater to heat the water.

Pics of the plants around a week after planting. I would sy that they have at least tripled in size! They look like they need a bit of magnesium but perhaps because the EC & PH were out for quite awhile it may have stopped the plants from taking up those nutrients so will just leave it for awhile and see.

Looks like they are going excellent there Candice  Will be interesting to see how the outside ones go, might set the president for how we grow over winter outdoors!
I'm also finding some of my Chilli that didn't do very well at all over Summer with no fruit and very little flowering are now starting to flower/fruit. Darn the weather!!!!!
