No idea what that is Mezo but that black circle looks perfectly round with a darker ring around the edge. Spooky could be from an mini alien ufo landing lol
I was reading gasificada`s post with his problems (bugs/parasites) and he lives not far from me, i thought you poor basket all that work & then some grubby little mite has a feed of your super hots.
And then tonight (whilst having a well earned bevvy) looking at my Bhut`s i noticed a couple of grub marks? i thought what could feed/live on something so hot??
What have i got? & what can i do about it?
Mezo.
Hi Mezo,
Mmmm interesting theory, I am really not too sure on that one. Seeing they use the leaves for photosynthesis I always assumed it was like a big solar panel for them. Maybe it gets too much?
Might have to look into it.
Micca
Well i read it in this post the other week & it made sense to me? another thing i read the other day on an ebay advert for Bhut`s (could be a member here) they lay the pot on its side to start side shoots, then turn the pot 180 to do the same & then 90 & 180 again to start side shoots in all four directions, makes for a bushier plant/more fruit.
That with nipping off the top in its early days are all things im keen to try.
Mezo.
I have a sense of déjà vu today after identifying another Brazilian Starfish as redux of first Brazilian Starfish NOT.
I updated the list to include a couple of plants in italics that I had a hand in purchasing that ended up being NOTs. One NOT cancelled out the other NOT by being what the other NOT should have been.
- Brazilian Starfish NOT 2010-2011 (probably a hybrid)
- Brazilian Starfish NOT 2011-2012 (probably a hybrid)
- Fatalii NOT (Orange Hab)
- Fluorescent Purple NOT
- Habanero Red NOT (was meant to be Choc. Brown)
- Habanero Yellow NOT (pointy Orange Hab)
- Jalapeño NOT Mild
- Limo Blanco NOT (dominant Annuum features)
- Pequin NOT (mislabelled Tepin)
- Rainbow Thai NOT (likely NuMex cultivar)
- Scarlet Lantern NOT (dominant Annuum features)
- Scotch Bonnet NOT (Jamaican Yellow Mushroom)
- Seven Pod Red NOT
- Tepin NOT (mongrel hybrid)
- Trinidad Scorpion NOT (at least 1 of 3)
The first Beni Highlands plant has the right shaped pods. The Limón performance here though runs rings around them.
Forgive me for using this bit of the forum to ask such a question, but seeing most of the Australians are frequenting this topic,readily..
My question is.. Are any of you( us) growing Mulatos this year.. I would like to purchase some fresh ones to throw on the barbie , rather than having to buy the dried mexican stuff, which has already been loved by roasting /radiant heat.
sorry Mark, can't help you here...
@Jayman
did those Not orange habs start out dark Green?
if so then there still may be a chance that they are orange habs
Orange Hab not cut open. Hot Habanero heat thats for sure, my zimbabwes are hotter.
Yeah they were are darker green to start with some of them still are, the color is the pics isn't 100%.
