I am looking for a jalapeno but I am not sure which one to get. I want one that is non-hybrid, hot, and has a traditional jalapeno shape. Bigger is better than smaller. Does anybody know of a good one?

Planted some Trinidad Scorpion Morouga Blend seeds today.

Purple is from it getting plenty of light. 6500K lights tend to do it more than others.

One thing I have noticed is that my annuum flowers produce a crap load of pollen but chinense flowers produce only a little bit.

I have. It happened on one of mine last year.

It would probably be one of the annuums. They always seem to grow way faster than chinense for me.

Morouga is a place so it could be that it is just from that area. Or it could be a cross.

Neither of these were done the right way with emasculating the flower. I covered my finger with a ton of pollen from the annuum and rubbed it on the bhut flower. The bhuts didn't look like they had any pollen on them so I figured it would work but it doesn't look like it did.

Is the Trinidad Scorpion, Morouga Blend a cross of a scorpion and something else or is it just another type of scorpion? Does it grow true to type if grown from seeds?

A whippet's tailpeno would be awesome. I have always wondered what a whippit's tail cross would look like. It would be really cool to make a long version of another pepper like a jalapeno.

Bhuts start off light green but then turn dark green. They end up red. The color of green depends on how old the pod is.
