Okay I understand when it gets 40 degrees or less I need to protect my plants. My question is it gets to 41 degrees tonight but with wind chill it's down to 37. Do I need to bring the plants in or is wind chill not a factor?

Newbie question here. When I pick peppers should I pluck it from the flower leaving the flower attached to the plant or should I break the stem with the flower off the plant. Does leaving the flower slow down or encourage growth of a new pepper?

Not sure what kind of pepper this is. You can see the smaller one is much brighter green.Is this pepper ripe,overripe, or still not there? I cant really tell but it looks almost brown now not darker green. Still feels firm not mushy.
