    Went to my Brother-in-law's little brother's wedding in NOLA tonight. He's a member of the Fat City Drum Corps... so naturally, they brought out the drum line and rocked the reception. It was epic! Search them on YouTube

    Yep! Got the shelf made. Just have to cut the old one out and weld the new one in. I bought an Old Country Pecos smoker, and they come with the dinkiest little external shelves. Replacing just the shelves puts it in the same league as the Yoder.

    At one time, i had nearly 1000 orchid plants and I did grow vanilla. it is a BITCH to get to bloom and blooms only last 24 hours and then it takes 8-9 months for the pod to grow. you have to hand pollinate. It likes it pretty warm, about 85 to 90 and high humidity however,you need really good air circulation or you can get root rot and fungal problems on leaves. I finally just decided that, as I went to Mexico every year, it was easier to buy beans as well as liquid vanilla. Not as much f...

    Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm hearing. 3 years to bloom, then 9 months for the pod to be ready. We'll see if I can get past the first year
