  • I have that too with guests when they find from a computer error that the hotel has over-booked and often all the hotels nearby are fully booked so the best I can suggest is a park bench by the river (suggest their car?) honest I don't really but I'm tempted. On Saturday nights, pissed and tired people aren't at their best and most polite. Whatever though, it's not your fault, just say 'sorry' over and over to them with an apologetic smile.
Right, I used to be like that but I got a knack of laughing it off, I mean there's nothing you can do about it so don't let work give you the stress, leave that for the important things in your life and I'm sure when it comes to it, work is an important thing but not the most vital. I let things go over my head now and I find I deal with the crisis a million times better. I've always found that if it affects a customer when everything's shit at work then the best thing is to just laugh, chat and joke with them.
Aw I feel for you, I remember very well not been able to take any payment from guests, not knowing what guests had reservations, I mean anyone could turn up saying they had a room booked and frequently they get the wrong hotel (almost 600 of the same company in the UK) but I wouldn't know, then I didn't know who was inhouse so I was fucked if there was a fire, we never had intranet either, we had jack shit. I either had no computer or no printer and business guests need there receipts to claim expenses. What's systems doing about it?
See ya later!!!! It's feeling nice and christmassy here, Jack Frost came out last night and it's bloody freezing.
So how was your weekend? I'm off Christmas shopping again tomorrow, I've left it all a bit late. Have a lovely day and I'll chat with you tomorrow. x
He'd ride in all kinds of weather if I let him, I wish the 'helmet issue' was more enforced in this country and made law.

Do you know what time it is? I'm sorry it's that time again, dinner time with my boiled parsnips. Love ya and text me tomorrow.
He's got a mountain bike and a BMX already, he loves his bike, when the weather's good he's forever on it, but mainly the mountain bike. I just argue with him that when he's on the roads that he needs a helmet. With the BMX bike he'll be on whatever the weather as he goes in the woods and all through the mud, just like he does with the obstacle courses he makes with his mates. He frightens me on his bike 100% of the time.
Boy, you guys go for broke don't ya? Do you think it's all a bit too expensive? It's just that Con has been looking on ebay to try and get anything cheaper with the presents he wants but I told him straight, I won't do that, he has the real deal from a decent shop, goes for a cheaper version from a decent shop or I'm not buying.
Con's getting an xbox from me and his Dad, his dad Stuart is paying two thirds of it even though I expected to pay at least £100 of it then have to buy a game on top of it. Connor wants a treadmill as he's really into athletics and keeping fit so Mum's dealing with that. He asked for an MP3 player too so if he behaves he'll get an ipod Nano.
Yeah I remember the post about hard bones. I'm not posh, maybe you just think that because I'm English. We're a common lot really but we're meant to be well known for having a cracking sense of humour.

Hey have you done your xmas shopping yet?
Nothing I suppose, just I don't eat much fish and all those supplements containing fish oil are a lot more expensive. I like fish, apart from... hey guess what I don't like about fish?
I'm a multi-vitamin type :P You'd probably be something posh and complicated like Vitamin C & D with Omega oil and added iron.
That's it! A courgette. We call it corn on the cob, just lovely. Hey with all the veg I eat I must be like a walking vitamin tablet.
I never included salad stuff like lettuce. I'm trying to remember what Zucchini is again, what do you mean when you say corn? We have sweetcorn. I like all fruit, I always have satsumas at work, they remind me of Christmas.
I will do. As for veggies I usually eat in a week (this will be one loooongggg list) cabbage, spinach, leek, swede, runner beans, brussel sprouts, courgette, marrow, aubergine, oh, I thought the list would be longer, oh yeah.. broccoli and cauliflower too.
