  • Yeah she is a capricorn, sweet, sensitive, and always there when I need her, just an absolute star to be honest. Dinner time now babe, speak to you tomorrow.
Wow you get a nice holiday then. I'm working New Years Day and the day after that. I've got xmas eve and xmas day off which I'm pleased about as xmas eve is my Mum's b'day.
I'm not working Christmas Eve, only working Boxing Day and over New Year, no extra days off, when do you go back to work?
Hey I've got Nokia Maps on my phone but I bet I wouldn't get a signal when I needed it. It's like Sat Nav but on a phone the same as yours, but bloody hell when you're driving in fog and snow and know you have to be up in 5 hours to get to work again in the morning you don't even think of using a sat nav on a phone, OK, I panicked about getting home but I still wouldn't have used my phone to get home. Glad your day has calmed down.
Aw thank you sweetheart, next time I'm stuck on the M2 (which I was apparently on) I'll ask for your help and directions. How's work at the moment?
This one I did, it was foggy and snowing at the time so I would have followed anyone as no one else was on the roads. I stopped off at the first petrol station/services I found to ask them how to get back to Maidstone or where I was, even the Indian man behind the counter didn't seem to know where he worked. I went another mile and came back on myself and stopped at the services opposite the petrol station I'd already tried but it was shut. Luckily a couple were putting air in their tyre and that man saved me, he gave me directions for a twit and I got back to Maidstone after a while.
Well that's why the thought went through my mind because it was really foggy and snowing on and off and I didn't want to drive in it whilst lost, the car seemed a better option for the night. Basically the roundabout by my work had shut my normal exit so I took another one to get on the same road but just a long way round, but I took the wrong exit and ended up on the motorway, that frightened me lol so I followed the car in front to the next exit off, that dumb car took me about 8 miles out from where I wanted to go as I was stuck on a dual carriage way. It got worse after that though.
What rubbing off on me with your bad luck lol? It's just unbelieveable that someone can get lost on the way home from work when they've done it for over a year. It was funny looking back on it, I was contemplating sleeping in the car for the night before my shift this morning though if I couldn't find how to at least get back to Maidstone again.
Hey that really made me laugh. I'm fantastic. I got lost on the way home from work last night, it took me an hour to get home instead of 20 minutes, so got in after 12:15am, then when I got up before 5:30am this morning I fell down the stairs.....then I got in the car and lit my cigarette the wrong way round. I'm not normal am I?
I've got to eat now sweetheart, I hope everything gets sorted...shove your manager on the shop floor and let him deal with it.. I know, they're not around and are busy doing what they call 'Important stuff' in the office. Have a nice bath when you get home, actually that's too girly, just have a ton of beer. xx
Oh yeah so would I lose my job if I was too far that way, I just meant that you don't always have to get so worked up about problems that you can't think straight, I still do but not so much, I think it's more an issue with staying calm with me and at the end of the day thinking I'm going home, OK, I have the shit to deal with after 5 hours sleep when I get back to work in the morning. I also know that the next day I will see Con for more than a 5 minute conversation so I think about that.
Yeah you taught me that a while ago when it all got too much and it works. It's the most valuable thing ever, the best bit of advice I've had for work and life in general. * I never know if it's 'advice or advise' * I think it was right what I put. Going by your rule I've saved myself and many unhappy guests just because I've been more relaxed and therefore able to deal with things.
You HAVE to let it ride over your head when things are that bad and I can't tell you that enough, it was the hardest lesson I learnt and I still have to remind myself that getting worked up as a member of staff who's meant to be in control doesn't rub to good with customers. I bet you're great at work though, if I had you humour I would be.
But surely they can see you're still a person who's sorry when things are going wrong? How is it now at work?
Well tell them you're OK with the nice 'sorry' smile and can do it as long as they're not arseholes with you. Tell them it's out of your control but you're doing your best to sort it, flick your hair and sweet talk.
