Special thanks to those who've donated funds to the cause & all of these fine sauces and seeds.

And thanks everyone for all the kudos and well wishes, I know the family have been reading this thread and got lots of warm, fuzzy inside type feelings from it :D

Make sure to keep us updated on his progress Bent! ;)

What he said. Congrats to my Leesburg, native. Since I work for the Postal Service I might have to intercept the package before it arrives. ;)

Congrats Hothead, hope you enjoy them all. good work to Bent also for arranging it all. Nothing like families to help each other out.

I'm glad to see that the auction was a success and that he is mending well. I'm also glad to hear that he is keeping up his spirits.

Thanks again everyone, I'll keep the donation vault open - dontaions over AU$20 = 20 BB Douglah seeds until the seeds run out. Will keep you posted on Alex in this thread.

Looking forward to trying all those great sounding products! I've heard such good things about products being created by the Aussies on this site, and am looking forward to tasting them all. To be able to help out a worthy cause at the same time makes it twice as nice!

Get well Alex!

Thank you wonderful ChilliHeads,

Alex is recovering well. The majority of the physical work (by surgeons) has
now been done, but we still have a few weeks before he will be able to leave
hospital.

We have been told by his surgeons that they had expected to amputate his
lower right leg on about the third day - that was three weeks ago. He has
his leg, but knowing the extent of muscle damage is still something of a
waiting game. He had skin grafts taken on Friday to repair two wound
sights, one on the inside thigh and one on the inside calf. The last wound
sight, on the outside calf, is still open as some of the muscle is still
fighting to survive and may be removed, these are parts of muscle, not whole
muscles.

Our big battle now is more in the mind. Alex will need to mentally work on
re-working some of the remaining muscle - some of his muscles are alive but
not responsive, he needs to make his brain make them work even if the
surgeons aren't sure that will happen.

We would like to thank you so much for your support, you don't know us and
we don't know you, but we love you all.

Jenny & Tim

Good to hear. :D
