Bodeen's 2013 Grow _-_ Love at First Sting

Not actually starting this yet. Just trying to get my thoughts together on what and how many I will be planting of everything. There is the possibility that there will be no cows here next year and the pastures will be made into corn fields. This would mean the barn lot will be free and empty. It grows some of the best grass on the farm and the barn does have a well and a pump already there. Could it be garden number 3??? Also contemplating enlarging the back garden again.

Had to do some replanting of some seeds I planted earlier this winter.

Planted 2 more yellow habs from a new source. The 2 lone seeds I had left from last years that never came up followed suit.

Planted 1 white hab

1 orange hab

1 Chocolate Changuanas

2 Changuanas

2 Red Hab

2 Yellow Bhut

3 Brown Bhut

2 Peach Bhut

3 Assam

3 Choc Bhut

1 Morouga

1 Douglah

2 TS

3 TS Yellow

3 Douglah

3 Brainstrain

3 7 Pot

3 7 Pot Yellow

2 7 Pot Burgandy

2 Jamaican yellow....one of the others came up, but never entirely shook the helmet. It might pull out, but I doubt it. The other started to root, but then I think it died. It was in the front where all the condensation dripped off of the top and I think that was what happened to it.

Definitely a learning curve on using these sponges. Perhaps the top looks dry and they don't need water? Perhaps the one time I did do a bottom water they got too wet and that hurt them?

Going to be a bit more watchful on how wet these sponges get and will see if this new planting and the others I just planted do better.

Here is some potting up pepper porn.

Billy Boy popping, Condor up, Yellow Jalapeno popping, and a chilhuacle popping. Serrano popping as well. These are going much faster than expected.

On the not so hot side of things, Orange Lipstick is coming, Tequila Sunrise, Aji Hab, 2 arubas, and a jimmy.

Not too much snow. I just hope the weather gets back to normal. Would love to get these peppers in the ground by May 15th.

Darn it. Don't remind me that we still have so long to wait in the mid-west. I'm already about out of room in the grow room and still have 2-1/2 months to wait. Sigh.

That's what I had a problem with last year. I am ahead of last year's pace, but no where near where I would be if I started in December like I wanted to lol. If I keep having germ problems with my supers, I might just do that this December to give me enough time to resow the problem ones.

I don't have anything to seed until March 17th. That is when the tomatoes will get planted.

If you look really close at the lemon drop picture, I have twins coming up. I don't think I put two seeds in the hole by accident. Decisions decisions decisions lol

Twins rule! Hope they are true twins and not just 2 seeds. I had twins last year 1 normal size and one tiny plant from the same seed. This year I have a conjoined twin. It's pretty cool, two plants one stem. It's actually two stems but they are perfectly fused together.

Good luck with the new batch!

I do believe I will lose this Butch T plant. It's being a tough year on my supers this year. I am getting impatient with my replants, but I replanted 5 days ago so I need to relax on them.

Ever see this happen? Both ends are in the seed casing.

Man Jeff that is crazy. I take it you aren't even gonna try to get that baby to sprout its cot's?

Looking good my friend.

It might be ok. It looks like the roots are coming out. Put it in dirt with the hook up and keep moist may work itself out.
