CMPMAN1974's 2010 Growing Log

Well, I created a different thread, but I can't find it. It was in the wrong section anyways so I'm starting over.

The season is on. Here's a peek into early activity. It's no AJ set-up, but....

This season is just sucking so far for my most of my peppers. I'm not sure what's happening, but they just won't grow barely. :( Depressing. We've had a damn drought here in Michigan. I think it rained for 5 min one time in the last 20+ daye. This is not encouraging. A few of my potted plants are OK, but overall 90% of the peppers seem stunted. They were hardened off well.

My Pubescens seem OK. Basically anything I didn't have in 4" pots is pretty weak looking. I think my raised bed soil is all messed up and locking up nutrients badly. With 7 raised beds, it gets costly to test the soil in each one with the state agriculture dept ($18 per sample).

Crap.......

Silver Surfer, I have no idea. :) The problem is I made it last season and just tossed everything in it (sand, compost, miracle gro soil, perlite, vermiculite, etc.). Just whatever to fill it.

I think what happens is when you dump to much spent potting soil over the years (and other peat-based products), your beds lose nutrient value and life in the soil. Just a guess.

Plants, pods, and flowers looking good Chris. Glad to hear things have turned around and looking at your season as the cup half full. Hope the rest of the year is nothing but beautiful pod porn. Nasty bed of hairy pubes, .

Chris...great pics of the flowers and the plants look amazing. Good work. Looking forward to seeing you post pics of all those plants loaded with pods ;)

How does the Pimenta Elisa taste? and how long have you been growing it out?

Your garden and yard look great. I wish I had a nicer yard. Maybe next year. If I ever kill enough of my neighbors invading bamboo that has taken over the side and backyard. I dug out the backyard 2 years ago to at least 1 foot deep and filled a demo-bin with the stuff. Since I was ill a fair amount last year, it has since reclaimed the yard. Ah the never-ending battles we face.

really fantastic man, very well organized and all the girls are very healthy.
That crossed Elisa is amazing, I'm imagining the Blazing of it. :hell:
Success guy
