Just had a ton of beer, including 2 Palo santo's on tap......................again.
Hey Passow, i have a favor to ask you. I know you're up for it.

I need help with homebrewing. I was lucky enough to get a Mr Beer for $8. So now i have a 5 liter primary fermenter. I have a batch of the Mr Beer going in it now, but this gives me a few weeks to come up with a recipe for the next run.

If you know of some recipes for a container this size, and hopefully a CHEAP online supplier of ingredients, i'd like your input (and anyone else's). I can't find ANYTHING cheap. Many people get into home brewing this way. I'm up for a challenge.

BTW...i don't know shit about brewing.

Cheers, TB.
Please say that's tequila.

I'd drink it. With a bit of gin. Looks good.

I had a cheap and trashy morning with some Bud Light. (I know) Black and tans in the evening and some beer I feel like spelling Ho Garden.

I'll get back to you on this. ;)

A whole new meaning to shrimp cocktail.

Ok, I checked out the Mr. Beer thing...bah! Extract junk in a 2 gallon fermentor, almost not worth the time. Go out and get a 5 gallon glass fermentor and step up to Partial Mash brewing and that's when you'll start seeing savings and tasty beer!

I was buying some random thing at the store the other day and realized I only had a 50 on me..rather than make them give me a ton of change, I looked around for some things I might need but initially didn't think I needed it just then. It was then that I stumbled upon a magazine with the convenient title "BEER". Tis a nice little magazine they have going there.

Yeah that was my take as well. problem for me is that i don't care buying grains in bulk and yeast and whatnot.

So no recipe for a small tank? i think i need to read more. where to find time. :(

You don't have to buy them in bulk. I buy as needed for each recipe (a few pounds here, a few pounds there).

All recipies can be scaled down or up, I just don't have the software to do that right now ;)

Read "The Joy of Homebrewing" and take loads of notes.

I've had the 'west coast IPA' brewed from that kit and it's not too bad, dude. Besides, for a guy who's been seen in public drinking a PBR you've got no room to talk:lol:

Hey hey hey, that was out of sober desperation. It was either a free Bud Light, free Bud Lime (both of which was an unlimited supply for the vendors at that show), or some free PBR from Cap'nBones. ;)

The only thing better than cheap beer is free beer....well, not all the time but you get my drift.;)

Went down to the Gordon Beirsch (Biersch?) restaurant today..they brew and serve their own beer. Have to say I was quite please with everything. I had a hefeweizen and a pilsner..also tried a small sample of their marzen and schwarzbier (spelling?). I liked all of them and they food was pretty good as well. The only bad thing about the food was that I didn't really notice any offerings for someone in need of a burning mouth. :mouthonfire:

GB is a great place, was a regular at the one in Burbank for about 2 years. Their Mai Mai burger is to die for!

I had the marzen bbq burger w/ bacon and some garlic fries..tasty stuff indeed!

The only thing on the beer is that I wish they brewed some stouts or IPAs.
