off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

A good morning to you all,

@Tinkerbelle I do love a good homemade ketchup, but adding banana would be a no-go for me. I have a huge dislike for that fruit; they are nor allowed in the house here. ๐Ÿ˜

Today will be a day without rain, so I'm going out for sure. I'm waiting for the post to deliver a package (I'm all out of P9 pots, 3.5 x 3.5 in, need to restock). I can finally plant my potatoes. I wanted to do so a week or two ago, but with the rain and night frost that didn't happen yet.

Already did some grocery shopping (online), will do a bit of housecleaning and the rest of the day is free for gardening. ๐Ÿงšโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Have a lovely Wednesday all!

Good morning. It's 39F (4C) on its way to 53F (12C). Back to normal temperatures. I bet banana ketchup is great! I had a banana based hot sauce (somewhere in the Caribbean) that was delicious .... not even a hint of the banana flavor. Not working today. Running errands later this morning. My back is feeling a bit better .... at least I can walk now; but I'm not ready to start re-rocking the flower beds. Ratty .... that reminds me that I need to wash a couple stacks of 3.5" pots for the next re-potting. This will be a good weekend to get the last of the early crop seeds sowed outdoors. We're approx. 1 month away from tomato plant out and 5 weeks or so from pepper plant out. Need to start the eggplant sometime this week (in the basement). That's about all that's going on. Got out some sausages to grill this evening. Beverages after that. Be safe and be good.

Good morning. 11-39F and sunny, with that blanket of snow lingering. It should be gone this weekend. Last night I saw a few tomatoes starting to pop, hoping for a few of all of them. We went shopping yesterday with more errands as the time flew by.
Bananas are only allowed in bread around here, which is a favorite of the kids. Last year at Christmas I think we made 200 mini loaves over the span of a week and I said never again. Marathon baking wears me out.
Have a great day. Stay safe and healthy as the gardening season will soon be busy.

Morning boys and girls!

@catherinew Wow, 200 mini loaves! You must have been dreaming about baking for at least a month afterwards.

Today will be a rainy ๐ŸŒง day. Perfect, because I'm visiting a friend that lives further away than I'd like, which means I'll be nice and dry in my car most of the day. Added bonus is I can and will be bringing a bunch of pepper plants for this friend and his downstairs neighbor.

That's mostly it for my day.

Be safe, be happy.

Morning all - smell that? it's the whiff of weekend.
Had a great day yesterday it was actually very warm in the afternoon and I got a load of gardening done. Today is very different dull, cold and cloudy. A day for playing with friends and making banana thingy, which I still haven't got round to.
Anyways, have a good Thursday, keep warm, dry, calm and smile :D

ETA: Made the banana ketchup, it doesn't taste of banana, not yet anyway and the sun's come out, yippppeeeee garden here I come >>>>>>>>>

Good morning. The snow still lingers, however lightly. Busy day ahead, baby layettes, neighborโ€™s dog, meeting, and the the baseball opening game. The guys are really into baseball, so Iโ€™m just a tagalong.
The peppers seem to be doing OK in their cool basement, and many tomatoes have sprouted. The older seeds may take a bit longer - I hope.
Have a great day and stay safe.

Good morning. It's overcast and 63F, on its way to 79F. Calling for showers and thunderstorms today. Nice little trip yesterday. Good to see friends. Had an excellent local hard cider while visiting. Next trip we'll slide by that place as well lol. With it being a rainy day, that makes it a great day to do some up-potting, haha. Hope everybody has a terrific Thursday. Be safe out there.

Good morning. It's 31F (-1C) on its way to 58 (14C). Typical Spring day. The warmup starts tomorrow with temperatures gradually increasing from the 60s to the 70s and 80s in the next week. Still hurting with the back. Can sit up for awhile and can walk better but am still very tender. The spasms have stopped ..... so that's good. Had my wife raise the lights and water the plants in the grow room. I wasn't much use. Not working today .... Can't sit in one place for anymore than about 15 minutes. I'm hopeful to get outside and work in the garden this weekend .... hopefully. Not sure what's on tonight's menu. Be safe and be good.

Good morning.

Get well, Harry. Sounds like me. I stand up and walk or I lay down flat. Sitting makes my back stiff. Driving the car long distances is the worst. Knees, back and foot are sore and stiff afterwords. Deep tissue massage works better than chiropractic most of the time.

Have fun jamming out, Sic.

Temps are going to rise. ๐Ÿ˜ƒStarting with 60* tomorrow, going up to 73 next Wednesday. Night time going up to 30โ€™s. Iโ€™m ready. Itโ€™s been a cold WINTER and wet year. Doesnโ€™t matter. All our water goes to the California, Arizona and Nevada. As long as we have enough to keep the fires away Iโ€™m fine.

Getting outside and doing something that doesnโ€™t strain my knee. Need to fire up the Smoker this weekend. I have some corned beef I got on sale after Saint Paddies Day. Also have some good ole ribs.

Enjoy life and show some gratitude. Be humble.

Morning all,

It's going to be a cloudy day today. No rain though, which is a plus.

I'll prepare the dinner this morning, maybe a few chores in the house and then I get to spend the day in the garden. ๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ Mr. Ratat is having a day working on an old car he's trying to get working. We'll probably both get home this evening looking dirty. ๐Ÿ˜

I hope your days will be as wonderful as you want them to be. Stay happy, stay mindful.

Morning all - Friday at last with a long weekend to follow.
Heard a cuckoo this morning, that makes Spring official yes?
Misty this a.m. but sunshine and warmth this afternoon, the peppers are going to love it.
More potting up this morning, possible work this p.m. but nothing too arduous.
Have a good Friday, keep warm, calm, dry and smile :D

Running errands and getting a walk in with the wife. Rest of the day is wide open. Wife will end up in her gardens and Ill end up messing around on the guitar and drums. Finally set up the drums yesterday was thinking about selling since I havent played in years but after noodling around a little I think Ill keep them for a bit. If I practice a few hours each week Ill keep if I dont touch them Im going to sell. I always enjoyed playing and its good exercise, lol. Need to get a bike ready for a decent ride tomorrow. Wings and beer for dinner. Have a great day and good morning.

TGIF! Good morning. It's 36F (2C) on its way to 65 (18C). Frost warning right now. Rest of the day should be sunny and pleasant. Not working today. My back gets a little better each day but I'm still in no way ready to work in the garden or go mushroom hunting. Therefore, I'm probably not going to do much today but self medicate. I need to up-pot sometime this weekend. Looks to be another 20 or so plants ready. I also need to mow but I can't see myself sitting for 3 hours just yet. Sic .... the drum kit sounds like fun .... I haven't played since college. Grilling salmon this evening. I think we have our grandson for the weekend but not our grand-daughter (I believe I heard she's going camping). It's going to be a warm and beautiful weekend. I'm hoping that I can heal up today and then be able to enjoy the rest of the weekend outdoors. Be safe and be good.

Good morning. It's overcast and 50F, on its way to 56F. The rain and showers scheduled for yesterday never showed up - they're here today. So, I spent yesterday in the garden doing prep work. Today we've got several errands, then home and maybe up-pot lol. The seedlings are gonna rebel if I don't take better care of them, ha. Hope everybody has a fantastic Friday. Be safe out there.

Good morning. Warmer weekend so maybe something will get done outside. Late night, so weโ€™re having a late morning, too. Coffee group soon, a few errands, then enjoy nature. One more tomato seed packet was ordered for daughter, those will be late this season, but will catch up to the others.
Have a wonderful Good Friday. Stay healthy for the summer activities. Heal and feel much better, Harry.

Morning all!

@Downriver I think I saw somewhere that you got the repotting done? I had a smile reading about your repot plans a few days in a row. I'm doing the same, but with potatoes. I am really going to put them in the ground today. No, really! ๐Ÿ˜…

Today is going to be cloudy and dry. I think just like yesterday. I'm doing some final grocery shopping as the stores will be closed tomorrow and Monday. Afterwards, all I have planned are those potatoes... And maybe a feeding round for my peppers, they must he hungry.

Happy Saturday, enjoy the weekend and play nice.
