off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Good morning. Nice and cool 54F as the sun tries to peek through the clouds. One more day before the 90s show up. No rain in the WX. CG watering this AM, Monday chores, coffee group, then the day is open. Made peach crisp for one of the gardeners who watered my area while we were away. OCD - will send a few recipes your way - pretty simple as I’m a ‘lazy’ gardener.
Harry, all the best for a complete recovery from today’s surgery.
Enjoy your day. Take time for yourself.

Heat index was 120 yesterday, thankfully its only going to be 111 today. Was pretty bad, wife and I both had heat exhaustion. Got home got hay then got truck stuck. Round 2 of heat exhaustion happened. Feel terrible this morning. Full day of mowing, hopefully done by 4? Have a clean up job bid I need to give, probably waste of time as it seems most people think this type of work should be almost free. They dont get everything I load I have to unload then burn. They see 2 hours of work when it takes 4. Whatever ill stop complaining. Harry hope your mouth is fixed. Have a great day and good morning.

Good morning.

Hope you feel better, Sic. I don’t get why some people think they should pay less for a job. They can always do it them selves. Same thing with mechanics. People say it only took you a hour. That’s because it took me years to get good a troubleshooting. But I should get paid less because I’m good at my job? Damn! I’m starting to rant now. Lol

School starts back today. I’m planning on more exercise today. We will see how much the knee can take.

Thanks Catherine for the jelly and jam instructions.

Enjoy your day y’all.

Good morning. It's 65F on its way to 80F. This is the last day of the nice WX ..... looking at triple digits for the weekend. My surgery was canceled. The Endodontist determined that my tooth is not savable. Now I'm scheduled for an extraction tomorrow morning. Taking the wife's buggy in for preventive maintenance this morning. Working in the garden this afternoon. Looks to be lots of pods and tomatoes that need harvesting. That's about it. Grilling and beverages later on. Be safe and be good.

Good morning. Take it easier in these high heat days, people. Heat exhaustion is horrible. The 90F temps will be here for most of August, so they say. I’m hoping to do outside chores early, then make more jam. Best of luck and expertise on your jams, OCD. I’m sure you will make your grandma proud.
Have a great Tuesday. School starts today here also with new time starts. Something to learn as I drive up to the CG.

Good morning. It's cloudy and 72F, on its way to 88F. Should be partly sunny this afternoon with a chance of a thunderstorm. Today is our last day of hot. The rest of the week is low/mid 80's for a high, 60F at night. Good growing weather. Well, the Kubota decided to stop moving. It still runs great, and everything else works, just no forward/backward. Of course, it did this at the farthest spot from the garage. And, a thunderstorm was 30 minutes away. Had to hurry and tow it back with the truck. I'm pretty sure the throttle linkage "came apart" somehow - nut fell off, spring clip failed, something like that. All that stuff is up in the belly of the beast. Have to drop the deck and jack it up. Then I'll take a look-see. So, that's what's on today's agenda. Hope everybody has a better Tuesday than me, lol. Be safe out there and enjoy the day.

Taking it as easy as possible Catherine, was home at 5 for a 10 hour day. If i went any easier I would still be out there, lol. Today is a easy day, 7 lawns 2 stops. Going up to the bike shop afterwards. Relaxing with the wife tonight. We need rain, maybe this afternoon? Need to wash all the mud off the truck from getting stuck 2 days ago. If im feeling froggy Ill do that. Luckily mud on your truck is like a badge of honor around these parts with the red necks and youngsters. Lets not forget the mud crickets, they love it. Have a great day and good morning.

Good morning. Picked yellow beans for a guy in the CG while he’s out of town. Today I need to water as it’s really dry. No mud here, Sic, just hard clay. It’s time to add good ole manure this Fall. Nothing much is planned, maybe do something with the few cukes or beans.
Have a great Wednesday. Stay cooler and hydrated. I need to heed my own advice.

Good morning. It's 63F on its to 87F. Much warmer than the last couple of days and we lose that fall feeling this afternoon. The heat is back starting tomorrow with the heat indexes Saturday-Tuesday at 105F and the air temps around 100F. No rain in the forecast for the next 10 days. Heading out for my tooth extraction in a few hours. Depending on how I feel ..... out to the garden after that. DR .... our nice WX lasted only 3 days but it was nice while it lasted. Be safe and be good.

Good morning. It's sunny and 63F, on its way to 84F. Should be a pretty day. Tore the Kubota apart yesterday. It wasn't pretty. Finally found the problem. The connector head of the linkage rod broke off. $7 part. Now I need to call the dealer and see if they have it in stock. If so, I'll have to go pick it up, or, I'll have to order it. I need to get down to the garden today and do some picking. Then back to the Kubota - maybe. Hope everybody has a wonderful Wednesday. Be safe out there and do something fun today.

Good morning. It's sunny and 62F, on its way to 89F. Humidity is high. Gonna be a little sticky out there. My back so no-go to working on the Kubota yesterday, so I made dill pickles, ha. Gotta do something with all those cukes. Today is Kubota day, I hope. I'm with you Sic. I hope not either. Plum jam sounds good. And what's this about Tink being flirty? Hope everybody has a terrific Thursday. Be safe out there, and visit the garden.

Good morning. Looks like another hot day to catch Jap beetles. I thought the numbers were dwindling, but not around here. Grasshoppers devoured my first ripe tomato. This is definitely a garden year to forget. I’m hoping to make Dilly beans from the guy’s wax beans today. Not too exciting, but something to share.
Enjoy Tink’s Flirty Thursday. OCD, let us know how your jam turns out. Sounds yummy.
