There will be an announcement in the next 36.2 months.

Guiness World Records is fast tracking a claim that someone has now created the world's hottest growing dirt, of over 7,000,000 Scoville creating units.

A thimble full of this dirt added to your current growing soil will allow you to put raw meat on a bun, insert a slice of tomato grown in it, and have the meat grilled, and the cheese melted, inside of 30 seconds.

Using this dirt greatly enhances the natural heat and flavor of various crops, they have gotten heat ratings of as much as 47,000,000 SHU from a Kiwi fruit.

Please send pre-orders to:

Hot Dirt
Box 5151 Highway 95 North
Nevada Proving Grounds, NV
98007

One pound of dirt will come in a SFRB, pricing will be $0.02 for the dirt, $79.95 S&H

Please do not gripe about the shipping and handling costs. Nuclear safe suits are damned expensive.

..... I detect that to be a lie of sorts.

If only you didn't go to such extremes with the claims I would have believed it!

Dang................This pepper sounds Hotter than yer Butt Jolhokia , Primal or dat Bush T thang combined. I'm gonna throw the seeds out my bedroom window into compost and see what the fuzz is about........................ha

Actually no porn about it. Someone here was kind enough to send me some seeds, and all I asked for was some Bahamian Sunshine......ha.....
My startup date will be after the holidays. Those plants can get big indoors without any pruning. I'm shooting for an early Feburary seeding for the supers with an outdoor planting early to mid May. Although, I can't wait to see everyones progress under their indoor grow canopies....Lights, Action,...Camera's

Good luck to all !

Greg

It will be great once this grow is over and the truth is in about the reaper, I held off getting the reaper, just to much
controversy going on about it and my growing season is a few months away.
This Hobby of our is becoming a bad taste in the mouths of others. I'll be glad when its all said and done and I can go back to reading about my favorite hobby without all the naysaying, so I can go back to growing peppers and having fun introducing them to people who have never eaten a really hot pepper before.

[background=rgb(255, 244, 228)]I bought 20 seeds from pepper joe,out of those 20 seeds 18 germinated so in my book thats a great germination %, Joe has always been a stand up guy and very easy to deal with. [/background]

[background=rgb(255, 244, 228)]I talked to Ed Curry today (12-12-12) and here is a question and his answer. [/background]
[background=rgb(255, 244, 228)]So why hasnt this pepper been awarded the world record yet? Well that takes time too, and money. It is being processed as we speak. There has been a lot of hype surrounding this pepper, lots of people have been doubting whether it was for real.[/background]

[background=rgb(255, 244, 228)]Currie said he has asked Guinness to expedite his world-record request. He said he has paid the firm about $4,000 to seek the record.[/background]

[background=rgb(255, 244, 228)]To get the world record he needed to have the peppers tested, a costly procedure. He then met Cliff Calloway, a chemistry professor at Winthrop University.[/background]

[background=rgb(255, 244, 228)]Ed also told me that he has 7800 Carolina Reaper plants growing in a green house and how he stresses a plant and type of soil he uses will produce a diffrent looking pepper than we grow. [/background]

[background=rgb(255, 244, 228)]here is a photo of 3 Carolina Reapers that Ed took and as you can see the 3 in this photo all look different from each other.[/background]

Was just on the phone with my good friend Ed Currie and he said he has NEVER talked to you and that he has never said that to you because you guys have NEVER talked. So, please don't make statements that are not true. The statement about Ed's stuff did not come from him. I talk to him every week so stop the bs. Oh and can you please stop bugging him about pods. Thank you

Standbyandfire, since you seem to have a real friendship/knowledge of Ed Currie, perhaps you could ask him just a few questions, questions that have been asked here numerous times but never answered. Our closest source here to Ed does not answer questions posed.

When will the actual numbers for the testing of the reaper be released?

Is there any progress on the world record front?

Has he seen a yellow mutant in his grows of the reaper?

Is there a tremendous amount of variance in his crops?

From the grower's mouth, is the reaper an F8?

A little open communication would alleviate a large portion of the squabbling, all we are asking for is truthful information. At this point his future pepper introductions may be clouded by the lack of candid and or general information information that seems to be withheld.

Real simple, just truthful information. The hype is over, the pods are maturing, at this point it is just good business.

I will ask he and and see what he has to say and what info i can give out to the peep's on the forum. He is going to call back tonight or sat. just give me a bit. Thanks :)

Thank you.

I am kind of confused, by your answer. Was anything I asked confidential or proprietary?

Which question would not be suitable for the pepper board?

This secrecy about product that is already on the market is strange. I could see if it were an unreleased product, they are already selling this variety. It looks like transparency would be appropriate.

Oh well. I guess my understanding of the pepper seed market is limited.

Anything you can pry out of him is more than we have.

I still haven't bought this pepper and I think its actually a shame that ed currie didn't either get the documentation or hasn't come forward with the documentation prior to flogging this pepper off, to me it just doesn't make much sense marketing a product without putting out some sort of documentation to back it up
