JCW's 2015 Glog

Well, here's to another year. I wanted to downsize from last year, and ended up practically doubling everything.  Started germinating on Jan 22 using paper towel method.  Tried 2 ways, one in cups with the seeds on top, other the way I have always done with the seeds in paper towel in ziploc.  Both have worked, but the paper towel in ziploc seems faster, maybe better temp control there.  So far have about 55 seeds in dirt after 11 days with many of them already popped up and looking happy.

Almost an embarrassing setup compared to many I see on here, but it worked great 10 years ago, and still worked fine last year so I figure no need to change yet.

Will need another rack of lights this year for the increase in volume I have.

The Aji Ahuachupan & Arkansas Peach are a mystery to me. Eaten them before? Nice shape on the Aji. BOC x Orange Primo sounds good too. Good stuff all around. Can't really tell but think I see somsomehing familiar- is your White Fatalii leaves all crinkly? Mine are. Doing fine & decent amount of unripe pods but looks crappy.

They are crinkly.  But really don't look too bad otherwise  I topped this one well before plant out and they came in a bit crinkly since.   At first they were really super bad and gave them some extra cal-mag and seemed to help a big, but now I'm just letting nature take its course.  It has a lot of pods already so looks like its going to be productive.  Got the seeds direct from PL.   Last years white fatalii from somewhere else was just like white habanero.    I have white devil's tongue also, and the plant for that one looks very similar.  Maybe some trait they share, both similar shaped white pods.  I haven't tried hardly anything I am growing this year.   The Arkansas Peach is from Sawyer on here.  Its very early f2 or f3 I think and unstable, not sure if thats the shape to expect or not, he might chime in if he sees this.  Not sure if I spelled that Aji right, but looked pretty good.    The BOC x Orang Primos are an F1 I think got in a plant swap from another local grower.  His pods are different than mine so far, he has more stingers while mine is more blocky shaped.  I probably messed up with that plant, it set 3 pods fairly early, I probably should have pulled them and let the plant get bigger.  I think its probably going to be a runt now, not growing much, but oh well, going to let it take its course now.

I can relate to going in blind. :) Not sure what % I'm growing I've never eaten, but I'm growing almost nothing I've had more than a couple of pods of. Part of the fun.

damn, yea it's been bad up here as well. Was hoping to mow the grass before you got up north but that's not happening. Wed don't look promising for cog hill either.

I know.  I can't mow at all, way too wet.  Clover is taking over, yard is more white clover flowers than grass now.

Thats my own personal river.  Happens when it rains hard like this and now that the ground can't soak in any more happens every day almost.  All the houses for about 1/4 mile to the east of me are slightly uphill so it all comes down to me.  The peppers are on high ground but still soaked, most still look good but not sure for how much longer.
 
I was gone for a week, amazing how much can change in such a short time.  The jungle is underway.  Surprised all was as good as it is.  Was told we had 6+ inches of rain while I was gone.  Did have a few sick ones, a few tomatoes are critical condition now.  Have a few runts, but for the most part, can't complain to much given the amount of rain.

Well things are  podding up like crazy.  Some plants have 100 pods, some still none, but if all stay healthy looks like its going to be another bumper crop this year.

My Bahamian Goats have went through a transformation awhile back .
I removed there big umbrella leaves on a hunch they are grown out now and bushy but the leaves now look more datil or fatalii like
I am sorry about all the rain hope your plants make it
 
Shit ton of nice looking pods, I have some 7pot burgundy growing hopefully they grow true, if so and yours don't i'll send ya some seeds.

I know why Judy's White Fatalii is supposed to be short.  With all the pods weighing down the branches it can't grow up.  This picture doesn't due this justice to how many pods are on here.
