Hi Everyone,
I am brand new to this site. I live in Manitoba, Canada and am a dedicated Chilihead. I have been pushing my limits to new scoville heights, year by year for some 25 years. Most exciting moment? - Habanero no longer the hottest pepper! In the extreme shortisitude (or should the new word be 'shortisity'?) of our Summers here on the Canadian Prairies I have been growing peppers in my little garden for about 15 years...with somewhat mixed results. A relatively hot summer this year and WOW! My best year ever. For the first time I decided to make a video of my garden to upload to YouTube (with some encouragement from Neil at http://www.youtube.com/user/TheHippySeedCompany) and I've suddenly discovered a whole world of like-minded people. http://www.youtube.com/user/roddelona - uUu, here on ThehotPepper.Com introduced me to this site and...well, here I am.
Can it be that people who love the heat are the nicest people in the world? It sure as heck seems that way. Why? I don't know, but I'd bet on it.
I won't go on, but I am looking forward to meeting all kinds of great chiliheads and making new friends. Thanks for having me.
Sheldon
