Private Rajun you're the new squad leader.
Got 2.6lbs of regular ground beef precooked and drained. Added 1 yellow onion, 1 poblano, 1 small can of diced green chiles and a few tbs of a mild ripe jalapeno/ancho pepper blend i made last year. Simmered it for a few minutes and tossed it all in a small crock pot with about a cup of water and a tbs of tomato paste. Just a pinch of Mexican oregano and a dash more cumin too.

Crap!!!! just realized im outta sour cream and greens. Might have to settle for just black beans, salsa and maybe some rice.
I stopped going their when the refried bean filling was as thin as soup, 20 years ago.
Cooked up some pinto beans last night, making refried beans today
Soupy refried beans mix good with rice. Sometimes i enjoy them that way. Not much fun though when its in a burrito. I like adding lentils to my beans. Cook them well and they fall apart with just a little effort. I like the way they thicken without the dry "paste like" mouth feel.

Yesterdays soft tacos ended up more like a Chili Cheese Burrito but it satisfied the craving. Fresh Thyme medium salsa extra cilantro (really good for store bought medium salsa) and PexPeppers Taco Fuego on top. Thats a damn tasty hot sauce too.
