mrs. blues just read my earlier post about doing up king crab. Unfortunately, I FAILED to 'splain her before hand and she read the post. Busted. I have thusly sacrificed the leg I was going to use for the cause and it is now a love offering to my dear sweet wife. I must now adapt, improvise, and overcome to create a slightly different chaos and mayhem.
 
Mmmmmm wings... I am so full right now, but I do have a dilemma to deal with. Do I want to do the Dueling Banjo wings with PF, or make some poppers. I can't eat another bite right now, but it's early and in another hour I will be ready I am sure. Sitting back right now with a Potato Vodka Martini and a bottle of Thirsty Dog Imperial Stout. Decisions, decisions.

Had to take a sidetrack for a bit tonight. The twins have friends over and I had to cater to 5 12 year olds for dinner. They had "make your own pizza" night. Which means....I laid out all the ingredients (pre-made crusts, sauce, cheese, toppings) and let them destroy the kitchen.....I mean....make their own pies. ;)

Been cleaning up the aftermath, drinking a Hop Hound Amber Wheat, and re-loading for round two:

Excellent. Sounds like my kitchen on friday nights but with only me there. After a session of hosky and tequila, along with evil whirrin' and stirrin' and flippin' and dippin', a 10 kiloton nuke dropped into The Blues Kitchen would only cause about $27.49 worth of damage. Bring on teh mojo!

Hamburger Gravy with Mushrooms & Naga

Yeppers, I loves the S.O.S.

Did up some hamburger patties and decided I wanted some hamburger grvy on toast. :-D

So, went with shrooms, onions, sage/salt & pepper/garlic and other spices, Deschute's Hop Trip Beer, and a nice fat Jolokia.

cooking up the shrooms/naga/onions/etc in the burger drippings...I had the chopped up patties in there too but forgot to take that pix.

deglazed wit the beer, added a dash of soy sauce and set to bubble and reduce just a bit

added my 'white wash' flour/water/milk mixture and whisked the heck outa it while it got jiggy. Lots of black pepper added also.

Yeah, I know I did the Roux backwards, but with all the strong flavors, it's not noticeable.

Next..the Goods.

Nah, the saltyness of it is perfect for that..plus I've has some in my fridge for months... ;)

Currently enjoying a nice cuppa french roast coffee w/ eggnog and bourbon..great fro a cold, windy, kinda evening.
