Total Number of Pepper Plants Grown by THP Forum

I just had a thought....I wonder how many plants the total membership of THP will be growing this year...it's got to be in the 10,000 neighborhood, wouldn't you think? maybe more

I will end up with about 350 this year...
 
I should have about 20 pepper and 10 tomato all from here. I am trying to specialize more -- I am also planning cucumbers and cabbage for pickling as well.... next I will get a chicken for pickled eggs and probably find a new wife because I thinkn that would be a breaking point in my obsession of everything pickled :lol:
 
I'll probably give AJ some competition as we're planting other veggies besides peppers, tomatoes and herbs this year. Looking at lack of water in CA indicates a good time to raise lettuces and greens or pay high prices this summer. Then all the new peppers to try as well as the ones I grew last year...I need more room!!!!!!

Yeah, I was reading about the drought last night, and added a few more greens to my list of things to grow. I'm going to talk to my neighbor about melons, too. We have a symbiotic relationship, I'm better at tomatoes and peppers than he is, but he's much better at melons and corn.

For myself or total?

My use:
36 peppers
50 tomatoes
75 peas
75 beans
8 cucumbers
30 basil
40 strawberries
4 Pink Angel Trumpets
4 Kenaf Hisbiscus

Carrots, lettuce, potatoes and other flowers will be planted as seeds

Total:
540 tomato
380 pepper
380 others

Total Sown so far
471 Peppers
84 Flowers
2 packets of Alpine Strawberries (200 seeds?)
Still have about 800 tomato seeds to sow

No, I'm still doing a bit of catalog fondling.I keep seeing more interesting baccatuum varieties, then I get a pang over my decision not to plant any superhots. Probably I'm looking at about 30 to 40 varieties and 60 to 70 plants. Anything beyond that cuts too heavily into the space for my other vegetables.
 
rough count is 853 so far...math may be wrong but it is in the right ball park...unless I misunderstood PF...Jackie are yous aying you will have about as many as I will?

Mike...just what you are going to keep for yourself...
 
I have 42 hot pepper plants (29 varieties) and 5 sweet pepper plant (5 varieties)

All up 47 pepper plants

I didn't get to have many toms this year as I couldn't plant in the ground and I couldn't keep the water up to them in pots....:(
