I'm also glad Italy lost. Now we get to play slovakia in the second round, we always have trouble playing italy (the only exception was the european cup 2 years ago).

Then I would love to see USA in finals but dont think they can handle Portugal, so...

Portugal vs Argentina but I will hold out for US vs Argentina as well.

If US gets to the final they will win it no doubt. If not, Portugal will take it.

Well the greatest thing about being scottish is that we are pretty realistic and know we ain't that great, but in every big tournament we ain't in we still give our all to get behind anyone that is playing england!!!!!!!!

But from what I've seen so far I'd like to see the dutch take it (always like to see them do well) but other than the final any thing that get the massive egos of england get knocked into Shape will make me happy!!!!!
 
I'll be behind Germany too, even though they gave us a hiding :lol: however, I'd like to see an "outsider" win it for once but that likely won't happen. I hope Japan and South Korea go far. I don't think Ghana deserve to be where they are, both of their goals having come from penalties, one from a totally unnecessary handball from Serbia that was never going near the goal. USA have potential to go far but I'm going with Sth. Korea. I'll have a crack at guessing the teams:

Quarters:
Sth. Korea v USA
Holland v Brazil
Argentina v Germany
Japan v Spain

Semis:
Sth. Korea v Brazil
Argentina v Spain

Final:
Sth. Korea (go the underdogs) :cool: v Argentina

Cheering my ass off for Ghana today.

The US's last game was horribly disappointing. Leave it to the US team to take out the excitement to an approach to the goal; by the 15th minute of the second half I was getting angry every time they approached the goal net in anticipation of a missed opportunity or just a straight up bad play.

[I'm so not showing up at a NY bar to watch the game today. I value my life.]

I thought I might see you here Vincent. Edge of your seat stuff for a while there in the second half. Cracker of a second half. You must be feeling pretty confident about getting a shot at the title now.
 
The first half Brazil was the better team but luckily they neglected to score more goals. After the equalizing goal in the second half we played better and were in control of the game. Finally we beat brazil after losing to them in 94 (quarter finals) and 98 (semi finals)

Now we face uruguay who are missing suarez but still no easy match.
I really hope we can take the cup home for the first time.
 
I'd love to see the Dutch go through, knock out Uruguay and face what is a cracker of a match Argie v Germany / Para v Spain.

My fingers are so hot I dare not touch any chilli for fear of cooling 'em.

Come on you Dutch ;)
