What was the last spicy meal you cooked?

And how did it turn out?

I was in the mood for wings, but wasn't going to do anything fancy, just wanted something quick using what was in the house. Baked the wings in the oven with a dry rub of cayenne, Death Rain, pepper, and bih jolokia powder (from Muso2112). Took them out and coated with Cap'n's savina sauce. Pretty good for a quick meal.

I haven't been around here for some time. Today I did up some jerk seasoning for a pulled jerk pork that I'll be using for sammies during the game tonight and figured I'd also throw a bit of the jerk rub on some Alaskan King crab legs. Gave them a little split with a knife so that they'd get some jerk seasoning in the meat, then fired them in the oven for 10 minutes or so. They came out with a nice spicy flavor with a hint of smokiness. I didn't get a chance to take a pic of the finished product, but here's the aftermath :)

Once you get past the 'brown' sauce, it's pretty good. Plus there's just something so satisfying about ripping your meal apart with your hands.

I like jerk seasoning but for some reason I have never been
satisfied with ones that I've homemade. Captain Thom's has
a good Jamaican Jerk seasoning.

My last spicy meal was just last night. We sliced some big
chicken breasts in half and dipped them in egg with lots of
added hot sauce ( I can't remember which one now as we were
pretty unsober at the time ). These breasts were then dredged
in bread crumbs with added cayenne pepper. They were cooked
in the oven before being fried in a pan with a little oil.

Next they were put atop fresh tomato and spinach on a fresh
onion roll with homemade chipotle mayo. Baked beans with
CaJohn's Killer Chipotle sauce made a delicious side dish.

Have you tried Captain Thoms jerk seasoning on wings with
his Thai Monkey hot sauce? It's very good.

It's hard to beat the staple of rice and beans. It's even harder
to beat the way I like to do it.

One package of Neese's Hot Sausage, 5 minced cloves of garlic,
one diced red jalapeno and two habaneros, half a purple onion
diced, a can of black beans, four diced roma tomatoes ( not
pictured ), 1 tbsp cumin, 1 tbsp oregano, a few shakes of
crushed red pepper and some black pepper. Cook everything to-
gether and pour over yellow saffron rice and top with cheese.

Habanero and Garlic Pepper Sauce then dredged in bread crumbs with
Cayenne Pepper.

garlic and butter:

Wow, my dishes seem quite remedial after reading some of the
Throwdown threads. I'm greatly unsober and that's always a
most opportune time to bare the heart. I greatly appreciate
this fine forum and all the regulars here who continuously
participate and as a result, inspire me.

I look forward to gathering much knowledge from this commu-
nity and enhancing one of my primal passions: cooking. Much
to my wife's chagrin, the refrigerator door is chock full of
hot sauces. My hottest sauces have perennially been habanero
sauces and now I feel it's time to venture beyond my comfort
zone and procure ones with elevated Scoville ratings.

Big sloppy wet chicken fried french kisses to you all!

Damn all of you posting pictures of food.... you're making me hungry!

Last spicy meal I had was a orange and yellow habenaro ''sauce'' I allowed to marinee my bacon. Did not turn out as good as I anticipated surprisingly. Soo, if any-one has any good spicy bacon recepies, please do share :)

Tonight I took the first ripe red 7 pod and sliced it up on a home made double cheese burger. It was a small guy, about the size of a macadamia nut, but really hot and fruity. Oh how I love to make the old burger a thing of pain......... :mouthonfire:

Monday I made up some pasta. The pasta sauce consisted of a Jar of Classico Pasta Sauce with this added:
  • Carmelized Onions
  • Bell Peppers
  • Spicy Italian Sausage
  • ~4oz Dave's Ghost Pepper Sauce

I never thought to add heat to pasta sauce, but one day stopped by a grocery store and picked up a local brand Italian Sausage. The "Hot" Italian Sausage was covered in dry red pepper flakes, and it got me to thinking. A few iterations later and I can safely say that I enjoy enough heat in my pasta to [almost] kill the average Joe.

Jalapeno, cheese and CaJohn's Killer Chipotle Hot Sauce-
stuffed chicken breasts coated with cayenne pepper and
Stubb's BBQ rub then wrapped in bacon and topped with
jalapenos, cheese and more Chipotle Hot Sauce.

For lunch today I made breaded and fried chicken strips
and pulled out a variety of sauces:

Haha...that's fish cake. The broth is made from seaweed and dehydrated fish flakes. Once that is complete you add your ingredients, this version has kelp noodles, teryiaki chicken, egg, green onion, chilies and soy sauce to taste.
