food What was the last spicy meal you cooked?

Now, this was an awesome rice dish.

Looks good! But orzo is pasta dudeeeeeee.

Oh wait. Rice too?

I am definitely making this again! But, next time I'm going to add a Fatilli and possibly a Habanaro or 2 along with some peas and chopped carrots, not to mention more shrimp. I am also thinking about adding some chopped lobster meat. I think all of these improvements would make it a better WIN.

I fried up the left overs today for lunch and added some Tabasco Powder, Cayenne Powder and Chocolate Powder along with some garlic powder. OMG! Just those simple additions made this dish fiery, tasty and simpelicious.

Glad you all liked it. :)

I know all the cool kids hang out in the Drunken Chef thread but seeing as I'm not drunk I best post this in here. I felt inspired tonight with some fresh chillies so I went with something different:

Onions and garlic were fried long enough to soften up, then taken off and put in a blender with the Cayennes (Ring of Fire) and Fatalis while the mince was browning. Also thrown in the blender were the 2 tomatoes. I ended up adding some concentrated tomato paste to add more colour. Everything in the blender was put back in the browned mince. A bit of S/P and copious amounts of the paprika were added along with finely chopped mushrooms and the juice of half a lemon. Simmered to desired consistency and here it is:

Folded over and lightly toasted on both sides:

I can't believe how good this turned out. The flavour is amazing with the zing of the lemon, and the smell is out of this world. Coming back inside after checking up on my plants, the smell of the lemon and fatalis still lingering in the air..... heavenly. This will most definitely be making many appearances in my kitchen from now on, I'm so glad I have left overs for tomorrow. Next time I think I'll add a little cinnamon and I think that'd just about make it perfect. I dare you to try it, you won't be disappointed.

Last spicy meal cooked was yesterdays mushroom cream pasta sauce :) chili, garlic, onions, peas, broccoli, mushrooms, black pepper and lots of cream. It was creamy and hot. Had it again for lunch today =)

Today it will be a lot of cooking and eating. First off, I am making a pot of chicken soup. It was just going to be chicken corn soup, but it has morphed into some sort of chicken/corn/vegetable/noodle soup. I plan on making some grilled cheese sandwiches to go with it, and one special grilled cheese blt for me. Here is the chicken and the fixins for the soup.

All kindsa stuff. If you really want to know I will make a list. Just a regular chicken rub. One of my favorite things about roasting the whole bird for soup is then I usually sauce up the wings and legs and eat 'em!

Oh and here's the bacon cooking for the blt. Wait till you see this sandwich! I'm practicing for the throwdown.

What's with that foo foo knife with the long hole in it? Right out of a Richard Simmons signature cutlery set!

That's just my Santoku. Has no hole in it and it is made by Cutco not Richard Simmons. Does he make knives? He is a nasty man.

Anyway here is the rest of the party.

DUDE!!!

It's barely 11 and you're eating lunch already?

I'm impressed!

TB, I believe what you saw as a knife is the black handle on Jay's cutting board.
