Thanks Charles, a little insurance policy to keep the two Pits that we have from chewing on them. Hard Freezes here in Fresno? Don't know what that is buddy jk, the lowest it got this past winter was 32 degrees for what seems only an hour the most. Wish we got some of the storms yall get over there on the east coast, total for the season of rainfall maybe an inch. Don't quote me on that one haven't done my homework on how much rain we have received so far.

Ok, I see...

It's been pretty wet here:  "A total of 1.30 inches of rain has fallen today...which sets a new daily maximum rainfall record for this date. The old record was 0.71 inches from 1970."

I hope you get some rain out there before too long.

So far I been having fun watching wilds grow. I'm still new but I learn something new every day. I also a good friend of mine sent me Flexuosum seeds so I be growing those this winter.

So far my biggest challenge was the Lanceolatum and I've had them germinate well but not grow until now. A lil bit over a month old.

Lance #1.

Lance #2.

CAP 214, Baccatum var Baccatum.

CGN 21502, germinated from the last seed I had.

CAP 501 x Donne sali F1. Wild hybrid.

Nice work! Your lance babies are getting big and tall. I still have some in dixie cups that are starting to get taller. One plant is staying so compact,it is crazy. It's like 1" tall but keeps getting more and more inner branching. 5 plants and all different habits. Very fun plant.

Thanks John! That's one nice Lanceolatum you have. They're very interesting plants and fun.

I hope to grow more like the Rhomboideum and other less common wilds like Cardenasii and others.

Wilds in general are very fun.

Amazing pics JB !!!! That Lance is scary looking   Must be a long lost cousin of the cacti family  :liar:

Most of my wilds are compliments of JB (prodigal_son)  . So far my favorite is the Galapagoense . Other than the smell

The BGN has really helped . Thank you Johnny boy !

How do you like your chili?

Very nice John! I'm going to try growing Tovarii next season hopefully.

The chacoense/ frutescens cross has a flower opening and looks similar to that flower. I'll snap a pic of it this afternoon.

Here`s another species that grows with double leaves, John, but in this one they are different!

Capsicum dimorphus from Columbia. I can`t find a better photo or illustration, but this is the type specimen at Kew Gardens.

Very cool mate. The lance grows some round leaves also. I wouldn't say as consistant as the dimorphum you posted though. Mostly seeing it on the younger plants.

@Portuge... your chacoense is looking like an annuum. What variety did you get the seeds as? It should have yellow filaments and not blue/purple.

You plants are looking great. Good work on the galapa pod. I am growing what I think is the blue mystery but from a different source named differently. Definitely a beast of a plant.
