contest November is The Best Meal I Ever Ate!

So tough to decide......

My first instinct is to display a bloody grilled steak, fat baked potato, and a buttery ear of corn.....

....but that lacks originality....and I'd most likely be making the effort for nothing.

My SECOND instinct is to re-re-re-do the Kentucky Hot-Brown......

.....but nobody else on the planet seems to be on the same page with that "heaven on a plate" so I'd most likely pass on that too.

My third, fourth, fifth, and even sixth ideas either have to do with things I've already posted (obviously) or things nobody else would get.....

...outside of the giant plate of fried bacon.

Something that would win.....is what I'd want to enter. And I have no trump card.

MMMMM, so down on Kentucky Hot-Brown!

Aaron

You know how everyone says "you eat with your eyes first"? Well, when I read "Kentucky Hot-Brown"....I just can't get past that to enjoy the entree pictures. I know~

Pauly, think of some meal that was really special to you. The setting, the people, maybe thinking of it that way instead of just your favorite food will be the inspiration.

Seriously. I've had any number of truly excellent meals in various parts of the country. But honestly, I can't even remember what I ate at the BEST ones ~~~ them being the best was as much about the company kept as the food, and people will always trump food in my book, any day!

exactly, it's the people more than the food.

I think I'll bag my original idea and just cook hot dogs over a campfire and dedicate it to all the TONS of fun we've had with MANY friends over many years....and finish it with s'mores~~

Oh, yea, baby! Someone said HOT DOGS!

um, gotta check here... Jayt....do you want the southern drawl version or the rest of the world version?

"Hot DAWGS" (said with typical sut'ern slangey-twangy high-pitched nasally voice)

-or-

"Hah-utt Daahhhuguhs" (said in a sleek, long, sultry ,sexy, contralto voice)

Um yes.

I can't wait to get in on this. I'm thinking of recreating this meal I had in Vegas at Hash House a Go Go. Their plates are like a combination of 'epic meal time' meets culinary perfection. It wasn't the best meal I've ever had, but considering I had it right after spending three agonizing days taking (and failing) the Nevada Bar Exam, it was probably the most needed meal of my life! The four jack and cokes I washed down with the meal could have clouded my judgment though.

Oh, Pauly, I'm sorry! Don't be sad! You know I'd eat any meal you make!

XOXO~

This is going to be a total blast! I, personally, have no hope of narrowing the vast number of "best meals ever" down to one choice. Plus, I don't dare fuss with g-ma's fried chicken enough to make it THP-hot. She'd haunt my ass for days. She was a 100% Norwegian South Dakotan! But, that said, I can't wait to see all of the amazing entries and read all the fab stories that accompany them! It's all about the stories - and some of you are pretty terrific tale spinners!!!! I am so looking forward to this TD!!!! And I WILL kick Scovie off the computer to chime in along the way!!!!! Even if I'm not competing...I can still smack talk, right????? Well, I intend to anyway! I've got my bottle O' spirits all picked out - Fireball Whiskey (cinnamon infused) - and I'm gonna sit here all weekend and be entertained by you crazy, inspiring, creators-of-all-things-wonderful! I'm prepared to be bewitched, bothered, and bewildered!

Paulky - I did some quick math, and by my calculations, aren't you about due for another crown? You'd better work that bacon-juju Dude!!!!!!!!! No car collecting this time!!!!!! ;)

Most of all....have a rockin' fun time y'all! Cheers!

Juju, it's definitely time for you to get your own keys! You need more key-time, chica. ;)

I WEAR THE PANTS 'ROUND HERE! fify[;)]

O'Kay,..... if you say so ~~~ ;)

(what-ever! )

That ain't no excuse for not getting the goddess her own keys.......

CHOPCHOP-WIKIWIKI!
another TD is impending, I'd hate to thing ChileJuju lost a chance at back-to-back noobie wins due to lack of keys. No worries, I'm jut sayin~~~

(actually I'm just saykng it's shut-eye time for me. G'night Gracie!)

I am so not going to win this TD my meal is fairly basic, and you can't see the awesome flavour in a picture.

.... I will know its the best in the world though ;)

You guys reading the small print? hahaha (post #135) maybe I should make it bigger, doh! never mind...

And if anyone has $500 I can barrow, I'll have another set of keys for CJ tomorrow!

You're IN tho, right Mega?
