Talon, Jersey Death + Mad dog 357 with bullet

Hey people! Long time no write lol. Been away burning those who dare to call them selves hot sauce handlers lol. I meant to review the above a long while back and only just remembered. So thought I'd do it all in one thread. First to the Talon! Wow! One hot sauce right here people, I'm sure...

Will check out Dixey's next time I'm out there then (soon) In the mean time, I'm still on the hunt for some decent ribs over here. Seems impossible

smoking Who's got the Q woikin'?

Only pics I've got are from a bbq last year. It's gas (booo) and burgers and sausage (boooo) typical english bbq really. The chilis were my doing. lol. They are pretty hot for amateurs. I was brought up on them :). Me and my friends bbq come rain or shine or even snow. Many a time we've...

smoking After reading the thread about chilis ribs.... got me thinking

I wondered what you all thought of Tony Romas Baby Back ribs? Advertised as the best ribs in the world/land. And you know what? I gotta agree. Over here there is no place for ribs that even comes close to TR's baby back ribs! Not had any other ribs stateside that I like as much either. We...

    smoking Somethings wrong here.......

I've been to chilis once. About 2 years ago when I was last in Texas. I had the ribs and TBH I didn't think they were that bad. My it's my amateurish taste buds. You guys seem to love your ribs stateside :)

Lumpwood Charcoal or Charcoal Briquettes ?

Thanks for the info. However none of those is readily available over here. We've used BigK for as long as I remember. But have gone for some briqueetes for the first time ever. Just went out and picked up some supermarked brand briquettes. They have a reputation to protect so I think they will...

Lumpwood Charcoal or Charcoal Briquettes ?

LOL, and get this. There will be less then 10 of us lol Our bbq's will become legendary. I'm the only real hot sauce lover though :hell: They are baby back I think, with a ton of meat on each rib  :mouthonfire: We'll give it a go. May as well try something new. Decided to go for...

Lumpwood Charcoal or Charcoal Briquettes ?

I'll be cooking a wide variety of foods. Like I said it's gonna be a big bbq. So far we have Ribs, Wings, Chicken thigh meat, Ittalion sausage, Lamb chops, diced lamb and a few other things. It's not small portions of each either. We are looking at at least 4 racks of ribs about 40 wings...

Lumpwood Charcoal or Charcoal Briquettes ?

Whats the pros and cons for both? Got a big BBQ coming up and I usually use lumpwood. However I've been recommended to use the Briquettes. Only thing with lumpwood is you get the small "shards" which don't really do much lol. Briquettes are all the same size more or less. The lumpwood...

Just seen these charcoal things. Anyone used these before?

Hour to an hour and a half apparently. A good review here: http://www.nakedwhiz.com/lumpdatabase/kingsgrillbricks.htm Seems it is not designed for slow cooking. Which is right up my street  I like to hot grill the food. Can't stand waiting hours for food lol. Still deciding whether...

    hot-sauce Extract Sauces are blarrrrghhhhh!

I'll be honest. Extract sauces (apart from Defcon 1) simply aren't very nice at all, going by those two. I don't think I'll be buying any more. It's a shame as I like the burn. I like it a lot. But that taste! Don't think I could have that stuff on anything really. I will persevere with the...

    hot-sauce Extract Sauces are blarrrrghhhhh!

I will admit, that my experience with the Talon was probably tainted. I do intend to try them all individually/properly. I think out of the other two, the Mad Dog 357 SE was pretty nasty. Again, I'll need to go back and try it again to be sure.

    hot-sauce Extract Sauces are blarrrrghhhhh!

As in vomit! I tried Mad Dog 357 SE, Jersey Death and Talon the other night. (Full reviews soon) Man That chemical metallic taste is horrible! Like I was eating tin foil. It was so bad I was almost to the point of heaving! I was foolish enough to have some Talon, let the heat build up for a...

    The Perfect Pair

Straight up scrambled with Defcon 2 or 3 for the great flavour. Or with Defcon 1 for the burn. I like my scrambled eggs pretty dry so leave them in there longer then most when cooking.

    review Defcon 1 My Review

:hell:  LOL. This stuff is great. Aroma and Taste is similar to that of Defcon 2 Review: http://www.thehotpepper.com/showthread.php?t=1911 It holds that great aroma and taste very well. Biggest difference here is: HEAT! I've dipped my finger in a couple of times and enjoyed it. The...
