Well is been a while since i posted....   i have 6 MOA plants going ( along with a few others :)  ), in good old Canada!!  we had a super hot summer here.... and the first set of pods, arent grade A at all.... but it has set some pods in the last few days that look promising.....    All plants...

i will try to get some pics up....  mine are about 12 weeks now... and most are only about 3 to 4" tall.... most have 3 sets of leaves ( small though... )... just seem to be taking ALOT longer than i thought....   i know its not truely warm but about 76 degrees in my grow area...     do you run...

Hey everyone.   Just to start off, this is my first batch of seedlings... planted are the MOA scotch bonnetts...   All seedlings were up ( hooks and sprouts ) by Oct 9th.... so most plants are just over 3 months old....   all my seddlings are up... but my growth seems EXTREMELY slow... even...

just a question...  i didnt cut all the foliage back.... but cut back enough to support the amount of roots.... and left pods on that were there.... they are still geting about 8hrs of sunlight in my south window......   when you apply water... do you top water your overwinters? or place water...

i just did this to 3 plants for the first time this year, 1 hab, i ghost, and 1 jalapeno.   Hab was in a pot, i free'd up the soil and took the plant right out... washed all the roots off with water, and re-potted with fresh soil, and trimmed the plant back a lot... gave it a little fert...

i dont think he is trying to over winter them, he is just trying to ripen the pods..... and then turffing the plants....   i have heard about pulling them, and hanging them up side down, so that the pods ripen as well... dont have any first hand experience but i am also going to try this... in...

It was my first crack at seeds, so, i sow'd 21 cells, with 2 in each... and accidently 3 in a couple.... and i got 100% germ.... and well... i truely dont require all...   i made a mix of different soils and a rooting medium.... for my first crack at it.... and well... i guess i did ok !! lol  ...

I know most throw 2 or 3 seeds in one group, and trim the weaker seedlings off, letting the best grow..... My question is WHEN, do most cut the weakest? After the first set or 2 of actual leaves? Or right after they emerge and are about 2" tall?? Or??

well basically i am starting some plants under lights, and growing them all winter.... in root pouches, then i was thinking that if i just planted them into the dirt, in the spring... that in the fall.... i could just dig them out, and cut the roots.... and then cut the plants back for over...

Hello everyone, i keep hearing how great these are to use for growing, and that they air prune the roots....   can these bags be planted right into the ground.... and will the roots grow through them into the surrounding soil?   and then when winter comes, can these be ripped out of the ground...

i also have a question, when over wintering...   when you chop them all back, and place them in new containers..... is any one worried about bringing pests in with them?  do you spray them down ( for aphids and mites even if you dont see them)and of course use freash potting mixes?  anything to...

I have had a lot of cayennes turn in the last week.... 10 to 15 picked, my habaneros are turning now, 1 ripe, and lots of Hungarian wax, 10 plus picked so far.... My ghosts and red Caribbean Habs, and most of my jalopenos are still green. Here in the peg, finally getting warm weather with good...

agreed... galvanized metal is bad... thats why i didnt want to use an old drink machine....    i found this stainless steel cabinet for sale... locally... which it came out of a Clothes cleaner business.... and it was used to steam clothes in...   PERFECT... all stainless.... i welded in some...
