I must be one of the 3 people on earth that can't throw a beast. It turns over worse than a sidewinder for me no matter what weight. I can throw my champion wraith about a mile though. I need a practice basket so bad cause I have great drives and upshots but I can't sink a putt to save my life.

Nice nutrient station! A buddy of mine uses an in-line RO filter attached to his garden hose; this way he doesn't have to rely on an extremely large rain catch here in Atlanta during the summers. Atlanta = no rain...almost ever. Ridiculous, really...you should see our major lakes and rivers...so low.

Yeah, but you're in a drought. We were too, but ours seems to have eased, and was never as bad as yours. Atlanta normally has thunderstorms in the summer, just like the rest of the south, so rain barrels are the way to go.

worked well as gravity feed but after the first month, I had to fill the drum 4-5 times to feed all of my plants...

Yea I guess for an operation of your size the resevoir would have to be much larger.

How are you throwing it? Backhand? Sidearm?

I throw backhand now mostly, and now my backhand is almost as long as my sidearm. I used to throw sidearm a lot til i had hand surgery, then I just lost my release since i started throwing backhand again. I really need to get my release back down, because i can only throw about 1 out of 4 sidearm. 1 goes about 400 ft, the other 4 nosedive.

I'm pretty rusty anyway since i just started playing again 3 weeks ago since I moved here in August. I used to have a stupidly good forehand shot and no backhand though. Now I have a pretty good backhand drive and an intermittently good sidearm. I find myself not using sidearm because even though i get more distance when it works, overall I end up with a higher score cause the inconsistency.

I throw mostly overstable discs

Drivers: boss, excalibur, destroyer, wraith, firebird, banshee & sidewinder

Midrange: 2007 discraft ace race prototype(think it ended up being named "impact") & stingray

Putter: omega supersoft or dx aviar, depending on wind

Overall my longest disc is my 175 champion wraith. I can hit 350-400' on flat ground with that thing back hand or forehand. I can barely throw anything else 300'.

LOL...I feel the same way. Dunno though those quad-cotyledon sprouts sure are cool. Maybe you'll get a FIM result without actually having to DO it...lol

I FIM on the second true node right off the bat, and then again on the fourth. Makes for trees:shocked:

Anyway, back to disc golf...Im not the best but my scores are usualy 5-7 over par. I can backhand the SHIT out of a disk. Honestly, I can throw my Rock/Shark midrange farther and straighter than my buddies can throw their drivers, And they introduced me to the sport... They were all shocked the first time I played with them...lol

I had a bad experience with a rock. Waited 3 weeks for it to come in the mail with sweet design on it and 1st throw caught a headwind and rode halfway across the brazos river.

But i know people like that, who can throw sharks and stuff a mile.

For me, it's all about that wraith man, that thing is unnatural.

TCG...got any new pics?...hows the "Medusa" doing?

Hm, looks like English, but I don't have clue what you're talking about.

cool man...great looking seedlings...

today is my regular friday off so I am going to plant a couple more trays today...tomatillo, eggplant, Luffa (gourd), and 4 different varieties of large bell peppers...

looking forward to more TCG pepper porn...

Got bored so I decided to put in a bit of work on the grow area. Covered 3 walls with panda plastic, cut some holes in the wood board I have my fluorescents mounted to so I could mount CFLs. Also lined the bottom of the wood between the lights with mylar.

Moved the fan to the front. I'm going to be picking up a few more lights in the next week or so. Probably on the 1st when i get paid.

This is the trinidad perfume with the 4 cotyledons. It's the one on top in the pic if you can't tell.

Fish pepper:
This one seems to have a more lanky growth habit than the other ones. Has anyone grown these before that could tell me more about how these plants grow? Seems like it will be vine-like.

Chocolate Habanero F1:
These ones have some hairy-ass stems. Looks like snow white fuzz. I wonder if these will retain that pubescent quality as they get older?

Trinidad Scorpion:
These are looking healthy, a little small but nice cute little heart shaped chinense leaves. I'm excited about this variety

Goat's Weed:
Another variety i'm excited about growing. These ones are starting to take off, only variety that is bigger so far is the beaver dams. These guys made it all the way here from Italy

Great setup TCG, plant look very happy in there. That is the first time I've seen a 4 cotyledon plant. Wonder if it will have 4 leaves at every node? Keep up the great work.

Plants are looking great. You growing anymore giant tomatoes this year?

I'll probably pick up some strawberries in a month or two, and then maybe a tomato or two depending on what they have at the nurseries. I'm only starting peppers from seed this year, everything else i'll buy.

I'll be buying various basils, thyme, and other herbs too.

Think i'm going to stick to growing determinate tomatoes this year....but i'm going to grow monster peppers. Assuming this balcony gets enough light, you'll shit bricks when you see what coco coir does to plants.

Well, actually, just look at redeyes log, thats a great example of the results you get from treating coco like a hydro medium.

I grew peppers for a little bit in coco before, and they got big quick but i ended up throwing them out because of bugs :( I have less bug problems here.
