I'm smoking a pork butt, sausages, making some coleslaw and heating up some beans for the 4th, so I'll give this a go. Question: do I need to include the ingredients of things like the dry rub, basting sauce and bbq sauce?

Assuming you made those yourself, yes. It helps the rest of us come voting time to know what kinds of flavors were included. If you used commercial stuff, just say which ones.

Smart move. If you'd used commercial stuff in a TD, it would have been a looooooong time before you lived that one down!

But let's qualify - SOME commercial stuff is ok, particularly if ingredients can't be found locally, or if the TD expressly includes commercial stuff (SPAM!) But rubs and sauces like these are too easy to make on your own, and everyone has rub/bbq sauce ingredients of some kind available to them.

LOL, I eat the hell out of French's mustard. Sure we have fancy mustards for certain things and recipes, but for dipping something (or anything in my case) it's French's mustard.
