Ok. I have one for you. Do NOT buy from Kaiser seed company. http://www.kaiserseedsandpepperco.com/
Thought I would give them a try. On March 16th I ordered seeds. Today is April 2 and I still don't have them.
I have emailed the company and they assured me they would be here this week, didn't happen.
I have filed a claim with paypal to get my money back but you can for sure mark this company on the do not buy from list.

There are a few threads here about this guy and I think someone even posted about him in this thread a few pages back. Short version is based on what has happened to other members it sounds like you're taking the right approach with getting your $$ back from PayPal.

Edit: here are the threads

Yea he is also on facebook. I think just for fun, I will contact the better business bureau as well as the Texas department of agriculture. His picture is on Facebook. Just a young kid..might not get my money back, but I will have a swell time smearing this guy and his fraud of a company.

Well I did my part to protect future seed buyers. I have spent my morning filing a complaint with PayPal, the Texas BBB, as well as the Texas Department of Agriculture. Im a very nice guy, but when you want to steal from me and my friends....I tend to get a tad pissed off. :)

I guess the squeaky wheel does get the grease....I guess my email to them letting them know I have filed complaints with some hefty people must have woke their asses up. You will all be happy to know that if you just contact them they will fix all the wrong's they have caused to some of you....yea right..don't hold your breath.

A response from kaiser just now....

"I just reveived your emails through the company website - I had already replied to you via Facebook email. I agree, the least we can do is refund your money. I can guarantee you that the company is not a fraud. Most of our business is local - seeds and live plants. Any feedback left on the website are from actual customers, we don't post fake feedback. In reference to the Hot pepper, there are several issues that need to be resolved, however, we only have contact information for one person. It would be helpful if you could let everyone know that they are welcome to contact us directly here to resolve any issues as we can't get in touch with them. I'm becoming more involved and taking over with operations of the company and would like a chance to even things out with people - I understand that it will not repair the negative repuataion however it would still make things right. (as right as they can be)
I understand you're very angry and will not be having anything to do with the business again - there's nothing that can be done at the moment other than refunding your money"

Im sorry if some of you think I might be a bit harsh on this, but as you can tell, this kind of thing REALLY pisses me off. Its one thing if you get seeds that don't germinate. Things happen. It's even one thing if you get a few seeds that aren't what they say they are, it happens. But I am a person of integrity. If you say your going to do something then do it. If you take people's hard earned money then give them what they bought. I can tell you if I sell seeds or trade seeds, I do what I said I was going to do. I have bought from several members of this site and I can tell you they are GREAT. There is one on here, and I won't say who because I was asked not to but you know who you are, that gave me FREE seeds just because I emailed and asked why a certain variety I bought wouldn't germinate. Even after I said it wasn't necessary to replace, they still did, free of charge. That is a person and a company with good integrity and a good moral fiber.
Someone like Kaiser just gets under my skin. It was bad enough when I thought I was the only one that got taken but when I read about all the people on here that got taken, I have no patient for it.

So, I will shut up now but if I offended anyone with my posts I apologize but I simply did what I believe is the right thing to do.

Thanks

hey can you take my store of the list i am out of buisness coult not keep up with so many orders i closed a while ago but just relised this was on here you can keep the link to the whole site though because other people offer peppers two

I am looking for some Butch T scorps for next years season. When is the best time to order from THSC for next season? Not sure when their season is over but I'm assuming its best to wait for the freshest seeds.

Seeds will last for years so you can order them anytime.

Yes they do last for a while. In my limited experience the newest seeds germinate much quicker. I say get the most recent harvest. It can't hurt to ask the seed vendor when they were saved, and if you can get the newest ones.

If they are in demand or rare seeds then you should get in quick. The Australian growing season is finishing up now so there should be lots of seed available.

Well, after getting completely screwed over by Kaiser seeds this year (and I don't take being screwed over lightly), I finally got at least some reward. I had contacted anyone and everyone in the state they are in about their business practices and many other things. I didn't get what I was going after, but I did receive a nice letter this weekend from the Texas department of agriculture.

Although I never complained about them being "organic"..apparently they claimed they were organic and were found not to be. So even though they can probably continue to take people's money and not actually send them seed, they at least lost the ability to claim organic both on the website and at their store. Small battle but still a victory.

Good on you for speaking up, mmcdermott1. I did notice on my last visit to Kaiser seeds website a couple weeks ago that they were no longer selling seeds. Only plants, and apparently to mostly local folks.

well i gave them about 2 months to make it right..and they chose not to so I did something about it. Got in touch with BBB in that area as well as the Texas DOA.
Later found out I am by no means the only person they have done this to. Glad to see justice was served. I looked at their page just now and your correct, no longer selling seeds on that site.

Hello everyone,

I'm starting to order pepper seeds (primarily hot pepper seeds) for next years crop and was wondering where the best places to buy them from? Reimer's pops up all over in my research but I have read some less than great things about the seeds they sell. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Only bought my seeds from the hippy seed co. Great source! A little more expensive than some of the ebay deals you can get, but at-least you know the source, the quality is great and the owner (Neil) is a great guy!

Huray, first post! :P

I wonder how many of these replies are people shamelessly promoting themselves XD

After my none of my bhut seeds germinated, I ordered some starts from Hirts on Amazon. I've had good experiences with them in the past, but the bhuts I received were chewed up clones (I think - keep in mind that I'm new to gardening generally, as well as to peppers), and my garden was overwhelmed by aphids roughly a week after they arrived. Just my experience; again, I've also had good experiences with Hirts in the past.
