pests Minute brown bugs found only in stamen

Hi Guys, Been a while since I posted last. I've found small brown bugs in the stamen of the chili flowers. I'm not 100% but I don't believe these to be aphids because there are very few and far between and I can't seem to find any anywhere on the leaves of stems of the plants. Would they be...

    soil Recycling Potting Soil

I've just killed off my unproductive plants and plants that I didn't like and am wondering what to do about the old soil in the pots. I'm wondering is it worth pulling out the roots and filtering out the soil and then re-using it? Money isn't the issue, I just don't want to be a waster and waste...

    pests Bug Id Requested.

So far I've had a very productive year. no problems at all. over 400 chilies off 10 plants indoors and I'm happy to say the least. However a few days ago I noticed some webs on one of the plants. I thought nothing of it thinking it was just spiders. But today I took a closer look and it turns...

To amputate or to attempt to save?

The girlfriend was carless when opening the curtain and snapped a branch on one of the plants on the windowsill. The branch is still attached to the main stem. Any thoughts on whether or no it could be saved by using tape to tap it back and wax to seal the wound?

    seeds Holidays and seedlings.

I'm off for 'bout two and a half weeks. snowboarding for one, and then crashing at my parents for the other week and a half. For my big plants I have a timed water box so that's not a problem, however I have some seedlings that have just come out of the propagator and have been transplanted. I...

Thick stems but leaning... support needed?

I have nagas with big thick stems, mainly down to the fan that blows on them for 20 mins every half hour. However as they are spreading out horizontally and setting flower a slight lean (see below) when fruit sets in do you think I should add a support? The plant is approx 35-40 cm high and the...

    Naga Morich Pollen

I've grown some Naga Morich plants from supermarket brought peppers (Fatalli.net ones), and they have grown very well. They are now starting to flower profusely, but the antlers aren't producing any pollen before they fall off. Is this normal, or is it because of something else? Perhaps lack of...

    nutrients Overfertlization or missing nutrients?

I've now got 6 naga's growing and I don't think the disease I had is still around. Yay. Praise to the lord and all that nonsense. However I think I have a nutrient problem. I've looked around, primarily at AJ's blog post and I am thinking a magnesium deficiency, but am still really none the...

    Nagas + Red Habs...?

A good combo? Not cooked with nagas before. I have about 9 or 10 nagas and about 15 large red habs. I was planning on doing a variation of a melon sauce that i have done before but was wondering if the taste of the naga would compliment the melon?

Alright then... Back in the game...

After a long rest period recovering from what I can only describe as a newbie start from hell (Thread 1 | Thread 2 | Thread 3 | Thread 4), I am going to tempt fate and start over again. I've bleached and rinsed every surface, pot, and tool possible, thrown away all soil and am now deciding what...
